I want to thank everyone who has participated in this RawFoodTalk.com forum. There have been some amazing exchanges here and so many words of wisdom spoken. But its time for me to close this board. I am moving on to new ventures and feel that its time for me to let this go. A forum of this size takes loads of money, time and energy. I have not been keeping up with the forum upgrades, the spam problems, etc…. which is resulting in many disgruntled emails and people calling the office daily. I’m sorry to disappoint the many of you who have spent your time and wonderful words of help and inspiration here. I hope that you have all benefited from this board and that it has helped you on your path to optimal health. I know many of you have made lasting friendships here as well. I will leave this board up for a month of so, so that you may copy what you need and any information you would like to save.
Thank you for being part of the RawFoodTalk.com community! It’s been a wonderful ride! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for all of you and of course, you can keep up with my adventures through my blog, Facebook and twitter. I am continuing my certification trainings and there will be some exciting new classes, events and projects coming into fruition in the near future!
It seems that almost everyday I ask myself "what in the world am I going to feed that kid of mine".
We could all use a bit of inspiration so I would like to ask everyone if they wouldnt mind sharing what your child eats. We are not here to judge but to get ideas.
I ask for pictures as I have found that when I am sitting here looking through this site, my 5 yr old comes and asks to see the food pictures and has asked me to make many of the items. Today it was the chocolate pudding post.
We all want to give our kids the best but it can be so frustrating when they just will not eat what we give the.
I would also ask for you to include your tip for getting your kid to eat raw.
Thanks everyone!
UPDATE:You may find that some of the images in this THREAD are not showing up. I believe this is because the site has been updated at least twice since I posted them. However, if you click on the image box you will get the viewable image in a another window!

sorry I don't have pics-but the dc's favorites are Alissa's Pizza (using the easist crust recipe), Alissa's carrot pecan burgers (8 yo Gus ate SEVEN of them last night!!! ), and Alissa's Crepes. They'll also eat anything with honey mustard dressing on it. And they like anything wrapped in lettuce.

We had a need for some warming soup today - it snowed yesterday. My daughter always liked chicken & rice soup so I came up with this recipe. not totally raw but nice for the kids.
1 organic veg stock cube
spot of boiing water
warm water (use thermomitor)
3" peeled courgette/zucchini
mushrooms (finely chopped & marinated in poultry seasoning & olive oil)
Get a mug, place stock cube in and pou just enough boiling water to dissolve, set aside. Use your Saladaco on the zucchini to get fine threads then chop into rice sized pieces or leave long for noodles. Put mushrooms (this is the chicken) in collander and rinse. Put zucchini & mushrooms in mug and add warm water to taste. Stir and serve!
This is very satisfying. If you want to go that extra mile dice and dehydrate some carrots the following night and also add to soup!
Sorry, I don't have a digital camera. I'm not that technilogically advanced yet!
My kids usually have green smoothies 1-3 times/day and the rest of the day they just snack on mostly fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, grapes and whatever else is available). When I make a salad they usually ask for some of mine if I don't make them their own! They also like to have a few nuts/seeds most every day.........they especially like almond butter. We don't usually do meals anymore.
I don't normally make recipes except on special occassions or something simple in the blender, like some dressing, but I do make raw birthday cakes! Last year I made the Boutenko's Raw Unchocolate Cake about 4 times. We all love that one! YUM!
Some other favorites of my kids are dates and other dried fruit (I try to limit these though) and Black Tar (raw vegan chocolate sauce).
As for my advice on how to get your kids to eat more raw, well, just don't offer them anything else! I know it sounds harsh, but I promise you they won't starve! They'll come around! LOL! ;) When I transitioned my kids to high raw, my son didn't eat anything for a whole day, and I was afraid it might last longer and worried that I couldn't hold out. Well, the next day he pigged out on salad all day long! Now that same kid is rarely seen without an apple! LOL!

I totally agree, when they are hungry they WILL eat. i think nowadays we are so worried that our kids might be hungry - why - whats the big!
I am glad to see your kids eat very lightly. Mine do too and I was a bit concerned but they are happy and eatvery simillar to yours!
I am having a hard time snrolling my kids to eat raw, mostly because of their age, I"m sure. My daughter is 12 and my son is 9. they will drink smoothies and my daughter loves young coconut and she'll eat salads, but they don't like the "raw recipes" I make and I am the "weird mom", especially to my daughter (you know, middle school and all that). But I'll keep working on it. I wish I could just get rid of the stove already!!! Thanks for the great sharings and photos!

Firefaery: I have had many many requests for this ice cream recipe fro the main photo thread! So I have a set email response with several recipies but I do not want to post as they are directly from the book Vice Cream.
So please feel free to email me and I will email you the recipes! They are so VERY easy to make!
