    Default Ideal After School Snack

Yesterday my son asked if he could make a snack. This is what I found him up to.

For those of you familliar with this thread my son will be 8 years old in June. Most of the photos earlier in this thread he is still a toddler.

Celery, carrots, apple, kale, parsley, lemon.

    Grawnola in bulk!

This takes about a week to make given all the sprouting and dehydrating. I will follow this up with a recipe. I make this twice sometimes three times a year. Half that gets sent to people. I seem to have aquired 'orders'!

    Renee, I signed up. Thanks.
EPPP, Pls send us your recipe! Reminder!

My kids shun every grawnola I make. I even cut the buckwheats WAY back and added cooked oats, and it only slightly helped...like they'd eat a tiny bit. Sheesh.

    Renee,

So very nice of you to have the class and to make it available to see later, but one question: Why only a 3-day fast? I mean all the "good stuff" doesn't start happening until day 4 or 5? Just curious!

    Thanks again,

I hate to get off topic on this thread, but since the question is here, I'll put the answer here....

Well, I have to work at my raw kitchen tonight and I need to taste the food I make for Clients. Since digestion begins in the mouth, eating & spitting it out is not an option. If it were for my family, that's one thing. But when I'm being paid to uncook for others, that's another. So, I'm satisfied with this small food break on my days off. I'm looking forward to another mini-fast next time I'm off. :)
