    Default Yum

Trying out some new recipes this month. Need to add to our same ol' same ol'!

I made Raw Food Real World's Blue Sunset smoothie. This is a great one because not only is there visual apeal (it has two layers, one blue one yellow) but it is easy and is very filling as it it made with nut mylk.

Yesterday we made Alissa's Apple Current muffins from Living on Live Food. I topped one tray with golden flax and the other with pre-made very crunchy granola.

Both were winnders with the kids and both are VERY easy to make!

If you would like pictures of these just send a direct email request!

    Default A sad sad day. . . .

. . . .I am sooooo sad to say that I have used up all my photos allowance and so can no longer post with photos. . . . . Before you balk, keep in mind that Alissa pays a huge sum each month to keep this site going for us

As I am such a visual person - I think in pictures - I will be limiting my posts but feel free to still email me with questions. If a query pertains to a post or thread I have contributed to please include the link or details if you can!

    Cheers,

    EPPP

Hey EPPP! Have you tried using Photobucket.com? You can upload pics for free and then post them here without having to using up all of your photo allowance.

That sounds like a great idea. I do have a question; are the photos you upload to photobucket then public to anyone who looks at photobucket??

    Cheers,

I was a little skeptical about having my children eat a raw diet for several reasons, but after seeing this thread I now have high hopes! There are so many amazing looking foods posted in here. I know my kids won't say no! I'm now excited to get started on everything after reading through this very inspirational thread!

EPPP, everything looks amazing! And your children are beautiful. They look so healthy & appear to be thriving really well! It makes me feel better about trying to make the switch for mine. :)

you know what is a good idea for kids?

use little tiny cookie cutters to cut shapes out of the fruits and veggies.

and you can put them together like a cute bento box like take that kiwi flower, and then put a little berry in the middle or cut a melon circle and put it in the middle or make designs out of the shapes, or put it on top of a green soup to make it more appetizing. <3

    I see things like this:

    **not raw**

and i imagine raw vegan versions of it for little kids. =)

    it wouldn't be too difficult.

I don't have pictures but my daughter has been begging to have an all-fruit dinner, so we did it tonight. Just plain cut up raw fruit with raisins and shredded coconut - they loved it!

They also love green smoothies, we have them several times a week.

That is one of the great things with kids is that given the opportunity they will eat intuitively!! Kids are not born thinking they need to have a starch, a protein & a veg followed by dessert!
