I want to thank everyone who has participated in this RawFoodTalk.com forum. There have been some amazing exchanges here and so many words of wisdom spoken. But its time for me to close this board. I am moving on to new ventures and feel that its time for me to let this go. A forum of this size takes loads of money, time and energy. I have not been keeping up with the forum upgrades, the spam problems, etc…. which is resulting in many disgruntled emails and people calling the office daily. I’m sorry to disappoint the many of you who have spent your time and wonderful words of help and inspiration here. I hope that you have all benefited from this board and that it has helped you on your path to optimal health. I know many of you have made lasting friendships here as well. I will leave this board up for a month of so, so that you may copy what you need and any information you would like to save.
Thank you for being part of the RawFoodTalk.com community! It’s been a wonderful ride! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for all of you and of course, you can keep up with my adventures through my blog, Facebook and twitter. I am continuing my certification trainings and there will be some exciting new classes, events and projects coming into fruition in the near future!
Here is a recipe that you never need a recipe or list for.
Here is one that you will always be able to make, no matter what you have in the fridge, (assuming that you have "something" in the fridge). I call this my "good stuff kibbles". All you do is take a some of everything in your fridge, It doesnt matter what it is, (produce) and chop it up VERY VERY fine, diced, even the lettuce and herbs. Then you make a dressing of whatever you can throw into the blender or shaker, (I usually use olive oil, garlic, ginger, turmeric, salt, pepper and a little vinegar and sometimes basil or cilantro). Throw the dressing into the "kibbles" stir and eat or let marinade. I make a HUGE bowl that lasts me 2-3 days. ****It tastes great and the tiny diced veggies makes a very pleasing and interesting texture.
If you buy different produce every week then your "good stuff kibbles" turns out different every week.
"Good Stuff Kibbles" is in no way related to the "Good Stuff" brand raw cookies.
karenisraw, it does sound like a great idea. You make use of left over veggies. However, I would come up with a new name. For some reason, the word "Kibbles" makes me think of "Kibbles 'n Bits" or am I the only one who thought that when they saw the title of this thread?
Maybe you can just call it "mixed salad" or something like that.
karenisraw, I am being funny, you know I only have kind words for you.
However, I have the perfect name...
Journeysman Salad
This leaves the door wide open as far as the ingredients go. It gives your recipe a name that is more better suited. I hope you will accept my suggested name for your creation.
i AM SO IN LOVE WITH YOU RIGHT NOW. Iis friday morning and I dont have much things left in my fridge because I will be shopping later on I do have the ingredients in your recipe though. I have a request on what the recipe should be caled. I think it should be called scavenger hunt salad. just a thought . I will call mine that.anyway thanks for the great resipe.
I made up your idea last night and it was wonderful!. I served it over 1/2 avocdo & 1/2 red pepper topped of w/cashews tomato & grapes. I used a leftover waldorf salad dressing & yum!
this is great!!!! i will do this sometimes also. i love the name...kibbles!! keep it, call it what ever you want! i found that it is really easy to take everything and pulse chop it in the food processor. cuts down on time.
