    Question Juice fast recommendations

I'm starting a 5-day juice fast today. Can anyone recommend any really yummy combinations? I'm new to fasting, so I would love any input on this topic. I feel led to do this - my body doesn't feel right, right now. I just feel off and out of balance: puffy, uncomfortable, and not myself. My hope is to get back in balance and that may take longer than 5 days. I just don't know if I can do longer than that.

And what about smoothies. I assume they are not considered "juice."

    Any advise?

    Thanks in advance.

    My personal suggestions..........

Always start the day with warm water and 1/2 lemon squeeze. I did this to kick start my liver/kidneys and draw toxins and help dissolve mucous.

Becuase I have a hisotry of sugar blood sensitivity, I avoided high quantities at one sitting of carrots and beets

I pretty much ahd some form of green juice at almost every sitting

Strain juices to remove pulp (otherwise the digestive system doens't shutdown all the way like it needs to during a fast)

    FAVORTIE COMBOS:
    -----------------------

    swiss chard,fuji apple,celery --ginger optional

    Pear,carrot and celery

    Kale,swiss chard,apple and beet

    Carrot/apple

    Celery,parsley and apple

    Cucmber,cilantro

    Fremont tangerines alone is delicious

    Cantaloupe alone

    Coconut water

**I REALLY THINK I DID APPLE AT EVERY JUICING PRACTICALLY!!!**

Sorry, my recipes are not that fancy :)

I am juice fasting today as well. I'm in for three days just to tune up. Now I'm having celery/apple but I should have added more apple. Earlier I had carrot/orange, later I'll have carrot/apple/orange.

    Very simple.

    Very refreshing.

Thanks for sharing your combo ideas. I was thinking of having pineapple, ginger and grapefruit a little later this morning and then doing greens the rest of the day. I want to try new tastes and combinations, but I also want to make sure I am staying healthy. So far today, I feel great!

    Again, thanks for the "recipes".

    Cool hello maraw

Monday will be day 4 for me on my juice fast.

I used mango juice for breakfast, just strain pulp out.
    apples
    sun tea for snack
dandelion stalks and leaves/ 3 organic carrots/ garlic clove/1 organic cucumber

same as above just exchange sugar snaps for danelions.

    organic apples

    pineapples

I 've taken all my pulp and labled the bag and froze them, then when I go back to eating again i've got some salads and fruit snacks to eat.

here's a good web page to check out:

Good luck on your fast :)

Path, is that dandelion/garlic juice recipe your own creation? How did you like the garlic juice? Felt any obvious detox from it?

I like the ginger lemonade at Ecopolitan (raw restaraunt). Maybe that would work. :)

    Cool misslinda

I have a Philips juice extractor model HR2828
Which does a really good job.It seperates the pulp aside, so I can eat it later, at some date :) But I noticed some pulp was still hanging around so picked up a paint filter as a strainer it works okay. Watcha got for me thats better?
