All these doctors and their scientific evidence are starting to make me sick (sic). I like sea salt and will continue to use it until my body says otherwise. I do notice I am using less of it now than in the beginning of my raw journey 8 months ago. I have lost 24lbs, I can do all kinds of activities that I could not do since I was 22 years old (I am 43 now). The raw diet is about a lifestyle, but its a lifestyle that progresses naturally as we listen to our bodies and our bodies faithfully let us know what they like in time.

    Peace.

I think of sea salt as a condiment and overuse is probably not a great idea. For me, using some celtic sea salt is a healthy option for minerals that I would normally not get.

I think sea salt is great and I believe that we need some salt in our diets. I think our bodies need it. I know for me if I don't have sea salt my blood pressure goes really low and I start getting lightheaded. I'm continuously amazed at how little the medial industry knows about the body.

I know that Dr. Graham knows his stuff when it comes to raw - but I guess my 2 cents worth is this: It really depends on what you are out to accomplish. There are varying 'degrees' of Raw - some are vegans, others are not (ie. will eat honey), and are way into the organic/non-gmo/TOTALLY pure stuff. Others are way into food combining. Some will not eat corn, dates, carrots or raisins because of their high glycemic index. Others only eat fruit! I've come to the conclusion that most of us raw fooders are fanatics in some degree... lol

So to me, the real question to deal with is, why are you raw? What are you out to accomplish? And to what degree of fanaticism are you willing to go? ;)

I personally feel that sea salt provides necessary minerals and nutrients. Table salt, on the other hand, IS for sure toxic. So if you are moving from one side of the health scale to the other, and your choice is sea salt vs. table salt, by all means HAVE THE SEA SALT!

    Cheers,
