Default Recommendations for a Food Processor

I need to purchase a food processor, preferably small and easy to clean.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

i think all food processors are about the same as far as ease of cleaning.

why do you want something small? for cost reasons or space? For years I have had an inexpensive, Black & Decker (7or8 cup) Food Processor that I got at WalMart for about 29 buck about 8 years ago. And, for years, that has worked just fine for me. For occasional usage, that fits the bill and is much less expensive than most others out there, yet, for the price does a pretty good job of it. However, now that I am making lots of raw dishes and using my food processor all of the time, I knew that the B & D was not gonna cut it. Many recipes are just too big to fit into that thing even and it is not powerful enough for some of the jobs. I made flax cracker batter one time that was leaking all over the counter (bright orange from the carrot pulp!) b/c it was too full. So, I made the plunge and bought a 14cup Cuisinart. I wouldn't trade it for anything (unless it was a 20cup industrial Cuisinart, hee hee!). It is much more powerful and can hold all of those great raw recipes. It REALLY is worth the money. Now, that said, I think they retail for over 300 dollars, but I got mine NEW in the box with the Stainless Steel trim for about 180 dollars, including shipping. Heck, you can even look around at different resale shops or if you know of some private school in your area (lots of schools do this) that has an annual giant garage sale...check that out. That could be a great resource. My mom's last 3 food processors have been from the annual garage sale at my old high school. They were all older model Cuisinarts that she got for about 3 - 5 bucks. So, even if they are older and die after a few years...that is still cheaper: 5 bucks every 4 or 5 years.

Default I think you made some good points about the size.

I was thinking small because I only cook for myself. I do not have a dehydrator but I hope to get one soon. In the future I may want to make larger batches of stuff to dehydrate.

    Thanks for the reply.
