Default question about fasting for long periods

    Hi

As you may have seen from my other thread I am starting a juice fast today. I have done a 7 day juice fast in the past with no problems. I would like to do a 30 day juice fast. Has anyone ever done this? I mean 30 days of juice (freshly extracted) only, no cheats, no food, no bites of anything, just juice, no food whatsoever.
I just want to make sure that it is ok to fast for such a long preiod of time before I do it.
I would love feedback from anyone who has done an extended juice (or water) only fast.
I have been wanting to do this for some time now.
    Thank you for your responses.

    hye mm,

i'm runninng into about 30 days.......i'm intending to do a 40 day. i did only juices and water for the first 20 some days and then my body rejected the juices and wanted teas not boiled and water. I have been craving more simple like water and tea. i'm down to juicing once a day if at all (simple one or more ingredients).

the only concern i have right now since it has been going well is the transition out of fasting for long periods b/c as we know, the digestive system has been shut down for that long.

also, ihave only been doing a salt flush for elimination every 4-6 days. this time around, my body doesn't like the flush or the salt.

    Thank you for responding.

I really want to do an extended fast. I am currently nursing our 14 month old but she also eats solids (she is raw). I did a 7 day fast when she was nursing exclusively and had no problems.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I am sure it is safe. Sometimes it is just nice to be able to talk with someone who has done it (or is doing it) though.

    Thanks again
