    Default December Juice Fast

    Good morning!

How are you doing today? Have you bought your veggies and fruits?

I must admit that I cheated and started yesterday (one day earlier than planned).... long story... lets just say that I got fed up with myself and gave myself a well deserved kick in the butt.

Anyway.... today I went out for a 20 min walk when I woke up. It was really chilly but it was sooo nice to walk in the city ... almost noone else was out and all the christmaslights were lit. When I came back in I made myself some lovely orange juice.

I also plan to drink some juice made out of galia melon *yummy* and some veggie juice (carrot, cucumber, celery and...?). I will also do some aerobics (videoworkout) and 5 tibetan rites as well as dry brushing. Other than that I will take it fairly easy and rest... maybe do some work by the computer but nothing that needs a lot of concentration.

Good luck to all of you!

    Talking Monday check in

    Hi Tanja & Linda!

It's going great here. I had lemon water & orange juice earlier. Haven't had much of an appetite so I just had lunch. It was carrot, beet, pear, apple -- (below)! It looks like tomato juice! Tastes awesome!

WTG Tanja on getting started early!!

Here's pictures of both Honeydew and Galia Melon. They are a little bit different.

Galia Melon: This sweet, juicy melon is a honeydew-cantaloupe cross.
    Honeydew Melon:
At least that's what they look like in Scotland

At the moment I'm struggling with the juice fast. Up until now it has been really easy but just as I was going to bed it hit me. I'm SO freaking hungry! And I can't possibly drink any more without being sick. Well, well... tomorrow is another day

Ah, i see, so I was wrong about thinking it's one and the same melon... thanks for straightening this out Tanja!
We get the galia melon here in Belgium, but never seen the honeydew though...

Tomorrow's a new day Tanja, the hunger will fade away a bit, are you sure you drank enough? (don't want you to get sick and throw up though...)
    Take care!

I didn't knew the difference between them either before I looked them up on the internet (well obviously I knew that they weren't the same ... but )

Joke, I think I might have been drinking too little during the day today... but I just wasn't hungry. NOW I'm hungry and I've tried to make it go away with more juice and water but just can't take anymore. Tomorrow I will try and drink more during the day too. And you're right... tomorrow is a new day.....

    Good Morning fellow juicers!
How are you doing today? I've had a pretty rough night and I've been SO close to breaking the fast but so far so good *knock on wood*. I've heard from other juicers that day 2-3 are the toughest so I hope I've passed that mark now...

It's 6.15 in the morning here and I've just come in from my morningwalk. I'm about to go and make my first juice for today. I think it will be an orange/carrot-combo.

Talking about oranges... I can't believe how expensive they are!!! I have to pay $3.60 for 6 oranges!!!! Luckily enough carrots are a lot cheaper so I'll rely more on them instead!

In one of the books (Super Juice, michael von straten & mitchell beazley)I've borrowed from the library I found this recipe, sounds delicious doesn't it?
    Rainbow Cocktail
    2 oranges
    1 lemon
    1 lime
1 pink grapefruit (it says: if taking prescribed medicines, consult your doctor before drinking large ammounts of grapefruit juice)

    Juice statistics
Super-rich in vitamin C, rich in vitamin A. Contains a useful amount of potassium and calcium. The acidity of all these citrus-fruit juices helps remove some of the unwanted bacteria from the digestive tract and encourages the growth of beneficial probiotic bacteria. Besides tasting terrific, the Rainbow Cocktail is a real digestive aid, which should be drunk for two or three days after a course of antibiotics to get your system back in good running order as soon as possible.

A pic of my favourite juice at the moment, it's made of 2 carrots and 1 orange. So sweet and fresh at the same time!

It's lunchtime now and I'm still doing fairly ok... struggling with hunger and my stomach is making some really weird noises. I am trying to drink, drink, drink, drink to ease the hunger.... no success yet though....

    Wow Tanja it's beautiful!! :)

Weird noses, yah, I had the same, like bubbles of air shifting through your intestins, lol! Don't worry, that's just all the junk (or at least a big part of it) that's coming loose because of all the juices, keep going now, you don't want to give in because then all your effort would have been for nothing (is this even an english expression? We say this in Belgium, it's weird to see it translated in english...) anyways, please keep juicing, you are so doing your body a favor!!

    I'll be rooting for ya!!

    Joke ;)

Thanks Joke! I've just had an pear/ananas-juice and it was SO DELICIOUS!! YUMMY! It feels better now after that... maybe some nutrient I needed? You're right I just can't give up now! I mean... seriously.... it's only 4 days left (then I've been fasting for a week) and that's not much is it? Tomorrow will be halfway through.... I WILL DO IT!
