    Exclamation my question too

    hey quinsetta,

I've asked this same question and waiting for a response. I wanted to get more insight and have read some suggestions in other books that base their teaching on raw foods/juicing. The book that I read suggested at least twleve ounces of fresh juice. There are a couple of combination that seemed to work well for me....

*water balance and natural detergent cleansing is celery/apple
*powerful cleansing of intestines and removing excess acid, is pure lemon juice with 10 ounces of water.

I always wait a 1/2 hr to drink water after juice.
I'm starting my juice fast over again tomorrow.

I've read on a couple of sites that it would be best to hold off on carrot juice ijf you are prone to sugar levels. Spinach too if you have kidney stones. I'd imagaine b/c of the oxalates in fruits and veggies and it is one of the highest in spinach.

That reminds me of a thread that I want to create

    luv,
    linda

I'm not an expert on juice fasting, but I can tell you what I do. I'm doing a juice fast tomorrow.

I always do 3 "meals" a day. I make 8-10 oz servings per meal of cucumber, celery, zuchini and sometimes ginger to taste. I drink tons of water. I drink 4 oz of wheatgrass, and if possible I do a colonic or an enema.

    Ladies,

I don't think anyone is intentionally ignoring you (MissLinda) but there are quite a few threads right within this very area that give a LOT of good information on juicing, shares other's experiences with juicing and more. Have you checked those out? I'll post a few here for you to reference...

    Thumbs up Oops--Rawkinlocs

    Hey Rawkinlocs!

I hope my wording did not serve as implying that I was offended by a lack of response---I'm sorry if it did. It was merely a statement to let Quisetta know that she was alone on the subject matter.

I truly do not get offended if nobody responds to my question---besides there are so many topics and threads that I would expect a number of them to be unanswered.

Pleeeeeez people....I am fine with no answer--I am not hypersensitive (!!!)
    well only to food

    Thanks for responding anyways folks.

    Thumbs up oops

    Quinsetta,

eeek I mean 12 oz per serving. Personally,
I wait 1/2 hr after drinking juice to have plain water. Considering the body only takes 1/2 to assimilate the juices, juicing feels good every hour for me.

I am heading over to the health food store today and will report some more info. I would also be cautious with wheatgrass--very powerful and you may want to start with just 1 oz may be even a little less to see how you stomach that. Like any juice, sipping and not gulping is ideal. A swooshing iin the mouth before swallowing was suggested in a few books I read.

I find myself getting carried away with wanting to juice "fruits" and neglect greens so today I will stock on alot fo colorful stuff and greens

Cabbage is very mellow and works great (BM)--had it this morning. a friend of mine whose best friend is a retired naturopth said cabbage is number one inhis "prescription" it cleanses the blood, regulates sugar levels, detoxifies the live/kidney etc.

    I'll bring back info,
    Linda
