SmellyDelly, this is exactly what I experienced when I woke up on i believe my 3rd or 4th day of fasting. I drank water and ate a slice of orange and the symptoms gradually went away. I have not experienced anything like it since....

Thanks for the reply, MangoMommy. I called my boyfriends mother who is an experienced faster and she said the orange juice was making my blood sugar go wild. She also told me to do a couple of enemas. I did one and it made me feel much better, but still a bit nauseous. So, about an hour later, I did another and felt better and was able to sleep. Oh, and the spinach I munched on ended up in the toilet. My stomach was not a happy camper last night lol

Fast heartbeat and nausea are a sign of low blood sugar. That might have been why the lady you talked to said it was making your blood sugar go wild. Alot of people will have low blood sugar when they do not eat. I do not know how that ties in with fasting though. If those are the only symptoms you had than it probably is just the fast. That experienced knows alot more about it than me. Here are some other symptoms of low blood sugar. I usually get more symptoms than the fast heartbeat and nausea.

Good luck on your fast. Cannot wait till I am healthy enough to do one!

since the enema made you feel better I would think it was a healing event-too many toxins in yer gut.

Today I had fast heartbeat, nausea. Yesterday I had no fruit, so it could be the sugar thing, but when I went to the emergency room (months ago because I didn't realize what was really happening in my body) with some of these symptoms and they did blood work, all levels were normal. My conclusion for me is that it is intense cleansing. Maybe the heart speeds up to move toxins through? Just a guess. A fourth of a banana and an enema relieve the symptoms every time. I figure the banana slows down the body's cleaning process and the bowel movement cleans out toxins. Hope that helps. This is such a wonderful adventure!
