    Default young coconut

Ok, I bought it and even opened the top like Alissa shows in her DVD. Now what? I tasted the milk and the jury is still out. Is it an aquired taste? What else can I do with the milk and what can I do with the rest of it?

    I'm jsut a tad disappointed.

    Smile First time post!

Well, I love coconut water...but I eat a pretty simple diet. Mono fruit meals, the only "mixed" food I've been eating has been my salads in the PM. My husband, a SAD eater, says that coconut water smells and tastes like crackers, of all things. He doesn't care for it much.

Oh, on a hot day, to pull one (or two or three) out of the fridge, and drink it down cold...heavenly!

I recently went to Thailand, and most restaurants would keep them in the fridge and offer them to drink with your dinner. Lovely!

I drained the water, added banana and pineapple and ice. That was yummy. The above site shows you how to open them. It was really quite easy. I've had more trouble with some cans and chip bags in the past.

I was surprised by all the benefits.....not really surprised more amazed, intrigued....you get the picture.

You know how some foods make your soul SING? YC's and mangoes are two foods that totally change my mood. I could live on those only for the rest of my life and be happy!

    Default Me too!

I've gotten totally blissed out while eating mangoes. I'm not sure "blissed out" is a real expression, but I hope you understand what I mean.

A couple of weeks ago, I sat on the back porch (post-run, which also gets me "blissed out") and drank my cocos, ate my mangoes. Absolute heaven. Not a mono meal, but it didn't upset my digestion at all! And to think that some people think I eat a "strict diet". HA!

I did not care for them. It makes me very sad as I want to be blissed out, too! I do love the water in a smoothie. What can I do with the meat other than just eat it (sorry, didn't like that either.) I hope this doesn't make me a raw outcast.

Default I never eat the meat

So I can't help you there. I do give it to my dog, who adores it, though. Sorry it wasn't a "blissful" experience for you, but you'll probably have your own faves that cause that reaction!

thanks for the recipe - i'm going to have the meat and banana tomorrow for brekkie before a good long rollerblade round the park - here the park closes to cars at the weekend and I can skate all round the road - it's way cool!

when I get them they are kind of at the end of thier time and don't take long to go a bit mildewy on the bottom so I have to eat them fast - oh well
