    Default Christmas recipes

I've been looking up some recipes to get me through christmas Day. There is also a CHrismtas cake and Christmas pudding recipes that i'll post if anyone is intrested. I haven't tried them as yet though they are really long recipes but i might give them ago nearer to christmas

This is from Kate Wood's Eat Smart Eat Raw

    Christmas Sweets
    Like miniature CHristmas Puddings

    4 oz - 125g almonds
    4 oz - 125g dried figs
    4 oz - 125g raisins
    1tsp cinnamon
    juice 1/2 orange
    pinch ground cloves
    pinch grated nutmeg

I just use the food processor but she says to make them in a champion juicer

We had this at Thanksgiving. It was SO good. A friend gave me the recipe, so I don't know where it originally came from.

    Raw Mincemeat Pie

    1 apple
    1 ripe pear
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/4 c. currants
    1/2 c. dried figs
    1/2 c. dried papaya
    1 c. cranberries
    1/4 c. fresh orange juice
2 T. dried orange peel (I left this out as I didn't have any)
    1 T. fresh lemon juice
1 T. pumpkin pie spice (I did not use this much)
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 T. Braggs
2 T psyllium powder (I left this out as it was thick enough already)
    1 basic crust

Core the apple and pear. Chop into small pieces. Soak the raisins, currants, papaya, and figs several hours. Drain. Coarsely chop the cranberries n food processor. Do the same with dried fruit. Combine all ingredients together. Mix well. Add a little more psyllium to hold filling together if necessary. Press into basic crust. Chill.
