Default Help! I hate flax oil!

I bought a $10.00 bottle and tried, even twice. But I can't help it. I now remember that this was the oil my mom always tried to make me eat and I did not like it then. I was wondering if it could have any other use in the house. Furniture polish, maybe in the garden, feed it to cat or dog or chicken?

I give my dogs flaxseed oil whenever their skin starts to flake. The flakes are gone and their fur is so shiny!!!! My holistic vet recommends Cod Fish Oil for them over the flaxseed, but my own holistic doctor recommends the flaxseed oil. So who knows, I just know that my dog's fur is shiny and no flakes.

Are you trying to take it straight out of the bottle? If so, why? blend it with other things to make a salad dressing or instead of other oils in various recipes or, even in smoothies. You don't need to put much. 1/8 - 1/4 tsp. until you can't leave home without it.

I always add either flaxseed oil or Udo's oil to my husband's green smoothies and he does not seem to notice.

I have tried many different brands of flaxseed oil and some of them tasted horrible. Maybe try another brand???

Definitely try a teaspoon or two in a smoothie. You won't taste it, but it will thicken the smoothie a little in a good way. I don't like flax oil much myself, but I do put it in smoothies and it goes down great!

Udo's Choice Oil Blend is by far the best oil I have tried. It's ingredients include: flax, sunflower, sesame, coconut, evening primrose, rice germ and bran oils. I ran out once and had to buy regular flax seed oil and agree that it's truly awful unless you mix it with smoothies and such that cover the flavor. You can use Udo's by itself on salads and sprouted grain breads. it's wonderful! :)

    Default good for dogs too

I stir flax seed oil or olive oil into my dogs veggies. Good for their skin and coat like Helen mentioned.
