    Default need exercise advice

First, I am dealing with severe FM & CF. I just started back on 100% raw (day 3). I was deeply involved in Body Building for years and really miss it! However, now even a beginner's yoga routine of 15-20 mins. leaves me sore for days! I previously was 100% raw for 100 days and could do much more but I've never attempted body-building again since the FM has gotten so much worse. I know how to train (certified trainer since 1995) but my body no longer cooperates! Do any of you have FM that are into body-building and how do you train in spite of it? Frustrated!!

You might want to look into T-Tapp. It really builds muscle quite intensely but its also a very rehabilitative workout. The woman who created it has worked with people with CF and epstein barr. Its supposed to be really beneficial. I have the workout and I have to say its one of the best investments ive made. My muscles in my legs and core are really great and the workout creates a really lean, long look in the muscles.

I am a trainer, bodybuilder etc. also. Have suffered from CF, severe blood sugar imbalance, aching muscles...the story goes on but I now feel like a million bucks thanks to Dr. Cousens...I invite you to check his book out Rainbow Green Live Food Cusine. If it interests you I spent 3 weeks with him. We can chat more... Good Luck on your Health Opportunity. Remember that our challenges are an opportunity to grow :) EDIE

Jax, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know how devastating it can be when one who loves to exercise/workout and can't! I get ansy within a few days, myself.

I don't have specific advice for you, as I have not gone through this; however, I do know that regular (professional, if you can) massages work magic.
Also, magnesium helps with soreness/stiffness as well as soaking the bod in a tub of warm water with some epsom salts (very inexpensive at any drugstore).

Have you tried accupuncture or accupressure? I do have experience with the former, and it did work for my condition to an extent; and I have the testimony of some relatives of the same. Accupressure sound wonderful; I'd love to try it for the occasional aches I get from my various routines.

Here's hoping you find a solution,

Thanks for the suggestions! I love getting massages and they are very helpful, I just can't afford them very often. I went through massage school in 1995, the same year I got ACE cert. as a PT, however I don't give massages anymore because the FM and CFS sapp my endurance. I have been working as a Pharm. Tech. for the last 3 yrs. and I love it but I do miss the fitness industry! Thanks again for the reply!

    Jax ;)
