Default first post and master cleanse too

Hi, so glad to have found this site! I am currently on 7th day of the MC and feeling wonderful! I have not experienced too many harsh detox symptoms (have felt pretty good throughout).
Wanted to give some suggestions for those who might be considering the MC or are currently on it:
-don't give up! when you're tempted to eat something, just ask yourself if it's really worth it and are you really hungry? a lot of times, i find that it is purely mental. if you really are hungry, just have some more lemonade and keep busy!
-with the salt water flush, do not use cold water! make sure to use atleast lukewarm water, it is so much easier to stomach! and don't tell yourself that it's disgusting, that'll just make it worse!

I hope everyone that is doing the MC, or thinking about trying it sticks with it! Trust me, by around day 6, I started having some pretty incredible BM's (kind of gross, i know), but some serious mucous was coming out! it feels so good knowing that that is not in my body anymore!

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well, glad to have found you guys and hope to learn from you all!

The problem I am having is that by day 5 I am so sick of the lemon/syrup/cayenne combo. I loved it at first but now I am having to choke down the stuff! It is upsetting because I want to do this. Did you guys have these problems too? If so how did you get past them?

    Default Day 5....

I make the lemonade by the gallon with a combination of lemons and limes (approximately 9 lemons and 4 limes). I pour out 24 ounces of water then add back 12 oz lemon juice and 12 oz grade b maple syrup. It gives it a little different taste. Also, try drinking it warm. While it's not the recommended method, it works for me and I still get results.

I am currently on day 4 ~ feeling great,no real detox..unfortunately it doesn't clean me out as well as it does for others. I mainly do it for food allergies, to rid myself of them real quick and to give digestion a good break! A few things I learned as I went along, that I think makes it taste much better: I throw the lemons in my juicer ~skins and all (make sure they're organic!!), six lemons usually makes about 4 servings. I also add 1/4 tsp. cayenne AND 1/4 tsp cinnamon per serving (24oz) to the mix; I love it spicy and I find with that much cayenne, the cinnamon balances it out nicely (and it helps with circulation and digestion/gas)

My husband wants to start tomorrow and i'm so nervous about being able to stay on it becasue of the detox. I am concerned about getting through a full day of work Monday,Tuesday and Wed. It says stay close to the bathroom and I can't !

    What do you think ?

Courage does not always roar, it is sometimes a quiet voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.

IGreat to hear about the Master Cleanse, I am thinking about doing it-but kinda nervous! Been vegan for a year and raw foodist for the last two weeks so I don't think it will be a too huge of a shock. There's never been a day where I could go without eating anything at all! I've been brainstorming of things I can do to keep myself busy while cleansing. Any ideas? I'll be on Christmas break for the next two weeks-which actually makes it harder because then I am home all day every day, instead of busy at work. Should I wait till after the break you think??? Thinkin of going out and gettin Burroughs book to read more on it. Congrads on your successful cleanse!

    Hey, guys~

just started the mc today, first of five days. The first time I did it I could only go 3 days without realizing I was going to need downtime to get through it longer (bed rest, no work, etc.) cause I was getting VERY irritable and weak. But with 2 kids and a partner to cook for and 5 pets and a household to manage, there was no way I could do that. So I just did 2 weeks all raw after that ( I am high raw-works best for me). So this time I am going for 5 days. THen I will go for 7, and hopefully all the way to 14, or more. I tried a juice fast about 5 years ago and by the 7th day I had the same experience-a crash and needed bed rest. So, I want to try serial fasting like this, and build up to longer ones. I read somewhere that certain metabolic types can not really tolerate fasting. A girlfriend of mine who eats WAY worse than me (no where NEAR raw-or even vegan) can fast for a month straight without batting an eye, take care of 5 kids and work almost full time. But after 3 days I'm a wreck-go figure. But I have noticed cumulative benefits over the past year doing "serial detoxing". I'm ok with that. ALso, I want to try the fasting one day a week. That feels like it would be GREAT for my system.

congratulations to all the master fasters. i am starting tomorrow, decided to start on tomorrow (technically it is still tuesday here) since that will be my "birth" day. i just found out about the master cleanse and i am wondering is this lemonade drink the only drink for the entire 21 days or is there a rotation; i am just wondering if we can eat raw foods like salads and vegetables along with the lemon drink
