Default Which juicer should I get?

I like the Omega 8005 juice Extractor because it works off a slow moder to where it won't heat the fruits & vegetables! So it keeps the enzymes from getting destroyed! Plus it does alot of other things like make frozen desserts, nut butters & baby food. It sounds like it was desighned for a raw foodest! Another thing I like is it comes with a 10 year warrenty (if you buy from a company that says that, but I've seen several say that)!
I like the Power Juicer by Jack LaLanne because it's not expensive and you can put bigger sized fruit down it! I've noticed that man that mad this seems like a raw foodest too! The only thing is it don't do as much, it has a higher power motor (so it could heat the juice and destroy some of the enzymes), and the biggest thing of all- It don't have a warrenty on it! Only a 90 day extension on it!
Which one would any of you pick! I want a juicer because for one thing I want to start juicing, so I can get those addictions out of me. Another thing is to be able to get enough carbs and raw food in me so I don't eat something unhealthy and until I get my stomach stretched out where I can eat enough. Plus it's a way to enjoy raw foods more because you can make all kinds of mixed fruit juices that taste great!
Thanks for everyones help in advance! Have a great day and holiday!

I know this isn't one you are asking about but I love my Champion juicer. I borrowed a Green Power juicer from a friend when I was trying to decide and I am so glad that I went with the Champion.

It makes the best ice creams out of frozen fruit, fabulous almond butter and wonderful juice. Best of all, it is very easy to clean.

Thanks for your info on yours. I want any opinions I can get! That sounds good too! The other two are suppose to be easy clean too. How much was your champion juicer and does it come with a warrenty?

    Default Green Star: Awesome juicer.

There are already several posts on this forum discussing juicers.
    Here's one recently:
    http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/sho...icers+champion

Just search for "juicer" in the search dialog (banana icon).

    Hope this helps,

Thanks, but I did that already. Not many of them talk about those two that I want. So I wanted to see what the ones that had any of these two juicers what they thought of them! And just to see anyone's opinion on which one they think I should get!
Thanks for your reply! Have a great night!

Hope you get some input on the two juicers you discussed in this thread. I misread your intent and thought you were just wanting some general input on juicers.

Juicing is a great thing!!! FWIW, I really do love the quality of the Green Star. I've used the Champion, and a couple different centrifugal juicers and they all pale in comparison to my Green Star for quality.

But, everyone has different tastes (thank goodness) and that's why there's so many juice boxes on the market.

    Caveat:
I've read alot of content from folks who say it is best to eat fruit whole so the fiber in the fruit can protect against the sugar rush. Vegetables are great to juice though -- Love my Carrot juice!!

Good luck finding the right juicer for you.

    Cheers,

I like the Champion as a carrot juicer. It's a total workhorse. Yes, it does juice other things as well yet, it rotates VERY high and gets hot soooo, not all THAT good for greens...and yes, it is good for frozen fruits. Just be sure to cut celery up in 1" pieces because the threads get caught on the cutter.

WHEN I juice which is very infrequently I mostly stick with my Green Power as it does it all.

I use the VitaMix everyday for smoothies therefore keeping all the vitality and the fiber as well ~ but then, you didn't ask that. ;)

Like fiddler, I read that you were looking for input on all juicers... not just the two you mentioned. Since I've not tried either of those, can't give input there atall.

I have the Omega 8002 from long before the 8005 was on the market. I love it. I have had it for years and it has worked well. It doesn't heat the juice. I hear a ton of people talk of the champion juicer however I have never used one. I really love my omega 8002!

One more thing I forgot to mention is that I also have the breville for fruit and veggie juicing. Mostly because of the large shoot (similar to the lalane). It works well also, I mostly use my 8002 for WGrass and greens. I have used for other fruits and veggies though and it has worked great.!

My champion is great, I bought it because it was so highly recommended. I use a baby bottle brush to clean it and it cleans up really quickly and easily.

    Things I don't like:
weight - it is so heavy I have to leave it on my counter and unfortunately I am one of those people that just does not like to have things sitting on the counter even if I do use it all the time. I have considered getting that small juicer that is on Alissas sight for like $40 to see if it will do the things I juice most so I can keep the Champion put away unless I want to make ice cream or something.

noise- I have no idea if all juicers are so noisy but if I ever buy another one I will definately try to listen to them first. This one is definately loud.

Thanks everyone for your info and help! I ordered the Omega 8005 Juice Extractor Friday night! The reason why I like it better then some other juicers is because it seems like it can do alot more and it won't heat anything! I like it that you can put any frozen fruit down it and make frozen desserts, it can juice greens, it can make baby food, it can chop the food and it can also make any kind of nut butters you want!! It can also make home made posta, but I won't make that. I only want it for my fruits, vegetables and some nut butters!
Thanks again, have a great day!

I bought Omega 8005 about a month ago and I am very happy with it!! I think you will be too. I also looked for the variety it can do, plus the machine is very quiet and easy to clean. I use it every day now and love it!
