    Default Fasting And Exercise

I am wanting to start a juice fast or a mc but want to continue working out
(like an hour cardio and weight class) I want to do at least 20 days, I have done a 10 day juice fast but not the mc. Any ideas if this is too stressful on the body to work out and fast? And do i need to be mindful of anything in particular?

    Peace brenda's bug,

I did the MC for 10 days, and i continued to workout like i normally do during the 10 days. I never once felt deficient, deprived, or a lack of energy. A lot of that can be due to the nutrient content of the lemons, along w/ perhaps the syrup (or agave).
Doing a water fast is another story. I've tried even little, moderate exercise on a water fast and its difficult to recover after the workout, even if you may have the energy to actually DO the workout. But that's just my experience.
There shouldn't be a problem at all working out while doing the MC though.

    Good luck on your journey..

thanks, I was really worried I would have to stop, because I just found out that I am going to Oahu for the first time on Dec. 14th, and I wanted to lose 20lbs and tone up some and so I have been working very hard for the past two weeks and just didn't want to stop. And I went off raw for a while and I thought this would be a good jump back into the swing of things. thanks so much for the input!

Hey you guys. I'm new to this forum and I was just reading this post. I want to join you but I don't know what MC is. I think doing this will help reground me and get me back on track. I've been eating all sorts of junk out of anxiety and now have no energy and will pay the consequences soon with bad cramps on my period. I too exercise everyday and can't discontinue working to stay in bed and do a water fast for several days so this sounds good.

    Default Welcome

Hi newbie :-) MC Stands for master cleanse. The book can be found online by Stanley Burroughs, but the basic cleanse is lemon juice with cayanne pepper and maple syrup. I don't personally think it's considered 'raw'. Anyway, speaking of cleanses, I am about to start the Blessed Herbs colon cleanse on Monday. Has anyone done it? Would love to know!

When doing a water fast, you don't want to exercise. You want your body to use all of its energy to clean you out. You should rest as much as possible when doing a water fast. I did continue my work-outs while doing the master cleanse though.

    Default need persuading

I would love to try a MC but am afraid I won't be able to stick to it with my conastantly on the go schedule ?
Is that all you consume for the 20 days is lemon, cayenne and maple syrup ? I just took a look at the book on amazon.com is there an MC website ?

    Thanks.

Courage does not always roar, it is sometimes a quiet voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.
