    Elke,
Can you tell us what other symptoms you are having if any?
Why would they assume its Candida if its just that your tired? Any other information would be helpful as to your symptoms so we can help you figure out if you do have Candida.

I was tested for it through a stool sample. The samples (3) were sent to a company called Great Smokies Diagnotic Lab. The determined the good and bad bacteria levels, plus yeast plus a yeast that isn't candida. They also did a saliva test to check my hormone levels. My doctor is a D.O. He also found my thyroid level to be extremely low despite the TSH reading being "normal." He did a blood test for just the T3 levels. It's rather in depth but if you're interested, I'll explain it. Keep searching for the answers. Fire doctors if you're not getting help. I have been misdiagnosed for TEN years! Keep reading. Keep asking questions. And GO RAW!!!!!!!!! :)

There is a quick way to know if you likely have candida overgrowth, if you're short on money. Cut out your sweets and dense starches, and take something like Candidase, by Enzymedica, according to the directions.

If you feel worse, you probably do have a problem with it. As candida dies(The toxins are released from the broken cell wall), it causes a die-off reaction called Herxheimer reaction. If you stick with it, you'll feel better, before too long, but I wouldn't jump right back into the heavy starches, or sweets for at least a few months. All that said, getting the Great Smokies diagnosis would be better, and make sure to stay raw. :)

    Elke,
Have you ever read THE YEAST CONNECTION DIET?
It has a lot of information. I think if you read this you will know if you have Candida or not. ItÂ’s very thorough.

    Thanks already for the responds!
It will probably be good to have my stools checked.
The other symptons I have arene moment I feel great and five minutes later I'm terrible tired,a lot of bloating,a hungry feeling all day long, sometimes I'm hungry right after lunch or dinner and I also notice that I'm having a hard time to concentrate myself on something.
Went to the doctor and he just gave me a laxative!I explained everything, but I don't think he listened at all;so,he's fired!
I have heard about that book and I'm very intersted to read it;is it possible to give me the isbn number, maybe I can order it from our local bookstore.
I have Gabriel Coussens book:Rainbow life food cuisine and he works in phases 1, 1 1/2 and 2.Phase one is recommended than, but you can't have fruit at all than.I think that makes it even harder to stay raw .
Who has read that book also?
    Elke.
