Benefits of WheatGrass?
What are your experiences with wheatgrass? Do you feel it is a necessary component of your daily diet? If so, what benefits do you see/feel? Do you believe it escalates detox?
Has anyone seen the mitigation or reversal of grey hair consuming it?
Thanks as always for everyone's input!

I had wheatgrass for two weeks at Creative Health Institute. I did not like it at all. I would have rather eaten earwax. But I saw many people that drank it over years that looked very healthy. I saw people that had been given up on by the Medical Dr's that were very healthy. Was it the raw diet alone or was it the raw diet along with the wheatgrass I can not say for sure. I know that I am physically healthy mysef without the wheatgrass along with my eating raw.
I don't think that anyone can say for sure. The people drinking wheatgrass seem to also eat raw.
There is my 2 cents for what it is worth. ;)

Oh my...earwax Flutterfly?! Daaaaannngg...must be pretty bad 'cause I've tasted earwax (as a kid, of course) and...errr...ummm...it wasn't good at ALL! LOL!
I've never had fresh wheatgrass, but I did have powdered once and used to put it, along with spirulina (sp?) in my smoothies, and I didn't really notice much of a difference...nothing more than when I put kale and/or spinach in it...maybe because it was powdered and not fresh (?)
I'm a little scared to try the shot of wheatgrass after hearing about the taste...but some folks actually acquire a taste for it after a while.
If I ever did decide to incorporate it into my diet, I'd probably have to start out putting it in smoothies or mixing it with other juices until I got used to it before taking it straight up!

We were drinking 3-5 oz of it a few times a day. There are very few people that really enjoy it that I saw.
Yes,I think it is that bad Rawinlocs

Hi Swish,
Here are my comments on WG:
I have been taking shots of WG on and off for aboutt the past 9-10 months. Right now I am trying to be very disaplined and take 2-3 oz.. Once in the a.m. and again in the p.m.
I believe that raw food is the very best thing you can do for your body, however, I also believe that WG is the one of the very best things that you can use to supplement and detox with. You can get so many great nutrients from it. It has aided my detoxing quite a bit.
Now, about the taste, at first I thought I would choke if I had to swallow another ounce BUT as time has passed it has become much easier to tolerate. I actually don't mind the super stong taste very much (anymore). I wll say it is definitely an acquired taste but you do get the most benefit from it by drinking it on an empty stomach so that why I drink it solo. I have also noticed that it has helped my to transition to raw a little easier. The more natural that I ate it seems as though the taste got easier to take. I think the two go hand in hand.
One more thing, recently I have read a few reports about taking breaks from WG every now and then and so I am also doing that. I plan to take for a while and then lapse for a while and so on and so on.
I hope this helps you out Swish!

Flutterfly.... You're killing me!! Earwax, definitely not something I want to think about!!!
Rawkinlocs, I have had in shots with other things at places like Wild Oats, and really liked it! So, it's a hard call as far as how you will feel about the taste.
Raw jojo... NO, I am not yet growing it. I want to, if it is something that would be very beneficial to me. But, if it is kind of hit or miss, or neither here nor there, I really don't think I want to bother! : ). I try to keep my life as low maintenance as possible, because I complicate too many things just by being!
Thank you for your input! I greatly appreciate it!

Those that are toxic can not stand the taste or smell of wheat grass until they take it and start letting it heal their bodies. Those that complain about the taste are usually very toxic. It is a wonder food and if i could choose one food to live on and only that food it would be wheat grass. It has all the nutrients the body needs including amino acids. It cleans nourishes and heals the body all at the same time and is the ultimate raw food. As far as the graying hair thing I think that is a myth and would not bet on it.

Wheat grass juice is the highest source of chlorophyll known on the planet coming in at 70%. Chlorophyll has the same identical chemical structure as human blood except the internal ion of the chelated structure is Magnesium instead of Iron.
I'm not to sure about how red blood cells affect your health but I'm thinking the more of these new fresh ones and the cleaner and healthier they are the better off you'll be. So all the body has to do with Chlorophyll is to swap out the magnesium for iron and hey presto you have new blood cells. So anything green is good for this.
