Default Is it possible to eat too many activated/sprouted seeds?

Could there be any nutritional downside to eating large quantities of sprouted/activated seeds and/or nuts?

The downside for me is - if I eat too many nuts (and seeds), I gain weight. I really have to limit them.

Is that for raw seeds and nuts? Or does it include sprouted/activated?

Yes, it's raw sprouted (or soaked) nuts and seeds. Perhaps because I had my gallbladder out is why I gain if I eat too many.. Which is a shame because I *love* them so much.

I love sprouting (or soaking) everything and then dehydrating it and popping it back into the freezer. It's my "staple stash" and it's all ready to go for any recipe.

Sorry - I don't know the answer to your original question though. For me right now that would also be a bit too much protein since I'm currently detoxing.

Yeah ... too much protein is what I was thinking. But there may be other nutrients that become "too high" if you eat a lot of them? Then what about when you ferment them to make seed/nut cheeses? In that case the fermentation process breaks down the protein into the respective amino acids. Hence, would large amounts be OK?
I guess I'm hoping a food scientist (or reasonable facsimile thereof!) will stumble onto this thread!

I'm not 100% sure but I believe if you eat too many nuts it can raise your copper levels and hence lower your zinc levels. However I'm really not sure, or even what defines too much, or whether it is such a problem when they are activated. Others may be able to clarify.
