    Default Breastmilk Promoting Foods

    Hi there,


    Since my 2nd Child was born and health issues with my 1st born I've been Slowly changing the families diet.
    I'm pregnant with my 3rd child and was really hoping to be able to breastfeed this time, with my first child I just didnt develop milk. With my 2nd I was able to feed for a few months before having to supplement her. I really want to breastfeed my 3rd with NO supplements. I want to make enough milk. Everything I've read says to have lots of milk and meats, but I dont eat like that.
    Does anyone know of any raw promoting foods I can start eating throughout my pregnancy and beyond to promote breastmilk?

    Fenugreek is known to have hormonal effects that may stimulate secretion of breast milk.

    But you do also need to be ingesting healthy fats. You can't circumvent nature. Make sure your diet isn't too low fat.

    Breast milk is full of medium chain fatty acids, similar to those in coconut oil. That doesn't necessarily mean that consuming coconut oil will be sufficient, but it'd probably be a good thing to include in the diet of a breastfeeding mother.

    Fennel is supposed to be good , (fennel juiced/fennel tea.)

    I am not an expert but I have breastfed my four children (including twins).

    I would keep up a good supply of fluids and would definitely ensure you are eating plenty of good fats advocado ect., agree coconut oil, omega 3, Vitamin D (I take a supplement). Whenever my babies cried I would feed them regardless of when they was last fed, I'm sure your body will provide what the baby needs, as soon as you supplement with formula your milk will naturally reduce because the baby will take less from you. And make sure you are relaxed.
