Default As a raw foodist, I was disgusted to see this on tv...

I, like probably most people who are a part of this forum, try to do the best I can to eat organic when I can and avoid GMO foods as much as I possibly can. We are drawn to raw foods for a number of reasons, but I believe that resoundingly, the main reason is to gain, re-gain and maintain the highest level of wholistic, natual health possible.

With this as my mindset, I was absolutly outraged to see a commercial for the glutenous, factory agri-business corporation Monsanto touting themselves as our (America's) wonderful, wholesome, farmers. They want to pass themselves off as the saviours of our future for food and fuel. They kept repeating over and over that they are our farmers, they are our farmers.

I almost fell flat on my face in shock at such an outragous lie! They are nothing but a factory corporation attempting to shove horrifying GMO franken foods down our throats. It's gotten so widespred that they are even starting to plant GMO orange tree seeds to replace our once natural Florida orange trees here in my home state (DO NOT DRINK FLORID'S NATURAL ORANGE JUICE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO INGEST GMOS) They are practically on a witch hunt to pervent organic and herloom seeds from being planted and used widespread in our countries food supply. (Check out the movie Food Inc)

Please forgive me for this rant, but I felt that of all places, the good people on a site such as this could appreciate the outrage it was to hear that a company as scary and corrupt as Monsanto attempt to pass themselves off as our food saviours. I try each day to make the healthiest food choices I can. That is why I choose raw foods. But to think that even our precious raw produce could become a frankenfood like our Florida oranges are becoming, is just scary and sad.

I just needed to share this.

Peace and love to everyone, and happy eating :)
Where am I? And how did I get into this handbasket in the first place!!??

Sorry... we don't get into any politics like this on the forum. We prefer to discuss the positive aspects of raw foods instead. Feel free to put this into your blog though and create discussion there.
