    Choose2bwell,
Tomorrow I start my 30 day raw food diet for the second time and in conjunction with the diet I want to up my exercise. I am already quite active and prefer to incorporate movement in my daily life. Ride my bike everywhere instead of getting taxis. I will do more swimming and walking.

I'm in! I love to exercise and am fairly consistent, but I feel the need to step it up a notch this year (I think getting older = harder to get the results I want with the same routine). =)

    Cheers!

Excited to be a part of this thread - I need motivation!!

Today was a 4-mile run with some hill training (on the treadmill).

Yesterday I discovered how much I LOVE the Expresso bike at the gym. No wonder there is always a line to get on those bikes!! Hoping to get on one of those tomorrow. Yesterday I did a 12-mile bike ride.

I know it's been taking me a while to get back into shape.

Over the past 10 years, I let myself get out of shape. I never thought I would run again because I didn't have the energy and thought it was too stressful on an aging person. Then I went vegan and almost immediately had more energy and the desire to jog again soon returned.

I'm taking it easy on my attempt to regain my fitness. I started out walking and once a week jogging a short distance and gradually jogging a bit further. Now, I jog about 3 times a week, and walk another 3 days. So it's taking longer to get back into shape, but I do feel it's coming at least to some degree.

Getting off the eggs and dairy has helped immensely - no more cholesterol clogging up my veins!

    -----
Yesterday, walked slowly on the beach about 2 miles, then later took the dog for a walk - another two miles casual pace.
I'd rather eat vegan and look like a tree than eat cow and look like a pig.

Thanks for the support!! It really helps! =)

Today I knocked out 12 miles on the Expresso bike - I did a tough ride and I am feeling it tonight, but it was probably a good thing b/c I have so many raw treats in store for the Superbowl tomorrow that I needed to burn off some calories in advance. lol Looking forward to my rest day tomorrow!

    Cheers!

Yesterday, the WX in VA was very cold, so I went on a 10 mi bike ride maintaining a moderate pace as a warmup to:

    5 rounds for time of:

    10 Deadlifts (155#)
    15 box jumps
    400 m run
I love the deadlift/box jump combo, it kicks my butt and I have work it and always end up sweating during the box jumps.

Time 22:30, the cold didn't help it took 2 rounds to warm up Get some.

    Good job everybody!

Today went the length (1.5Km) of the beach 6 times: walked it 5 times and jogged it once for a total of 9km.

@ Gianni - Jealous of the sun & beach - it's freezing cold here! Which means lots of indoor exercise ... at least until next week when I'll be away skiing.

    Yesterday's workout:
5-mile run (treadmill) with speed work

I need to add in strength training!!! My "problem" is that I am easily bored by it. I did P90X a while back, but I only stuck with it b/c my husband did it with me. I like quick routines (ala Jillian Michaels), but given my schedule I'm finding it hard to fit into my day at home (I work part-time, homeschool four kids full-time, volunteer, and have a household to take care of). My goal this month is to figure out a quick routine I can fit in when I'm at the gym. I hate to do it at the gym (because it's always overrun with people and there's no space) but I will get over that if I have to b/c doing it at home has worked exactly 3 times in January and February. Not good. Any advice welcome!

    Cheers!
