@ Renee - what kind of crust do you make for the pizza? I love the one from RFFE that has the carrots and other veggies. I know there are other types of crusts out there, too. I've also made others that are more nut based. Wondering which your favorite is...
Oh yea, that's the one I use. What's really great about that crust is that, when you dehydrate it till its really firm, you can make it up with the Raw Cheese and Marinara (or ooh, Oooh, ooohhhh....make the Tomato Paste from Alissa's Chili in LOLF....too FAB for WORDS!!!!). ...anyway, what was I saying.... Oh yea! Make up the Pizza like that with the crust firm and it'll last, and last, and LAST!!!! Also, I double up on the seasonings in that crust and add Oregano! That's why it's a BEST seller for me!!!
I'm getting hungry just reading your post!!!! I love that crust, too. I had it with the mushroom sausages, grezzo cheese & veggies.... oh my. I think I'll be making some pizza soon!
Hehehe! It's raining here, so as soon as I climb outta bed, I'll show you the ones I made yesterday!
Here's my Pizza today:
Here's the crust;
It was SOOOO good!!!! Now, I'm sucking on a Mango seed!
Time for something Sweet...lets have a Vanilla Macaroon:
Good job guys. I did well today on the raw food. This is day 3 working out in the mornings.
Rob thanks for the idea re coconut. Do you mean the semi soft pulp?
Cashew nuts and dried mangoes
Half a melon
feeling tire because I am not sleeping well
I think I will have an afternoon nap
@ Renee: Looks amazing! As usual!
@ Cai & Rob - great work, guys! Cai, I hope you get some more restful sleep. Rob, working out in the mornings is the best.
Yesterday's Food - I didn't eat as much as I usually do. I wasn't hungry in the morning, and then I "missed" dinner b/c I had to volunteer at an event so I only grabbed a little something when I got home....
B: Pineapple & coconut smoothie with flax seed
L: Creamy avocado and ginger soup & several carrots
S: Pear & walnut smoothie
D: Raw Revolution coconut-cacao raw food bar
Renee I have yet to make a raw pizza, probably because I am not a big fan of the pizza. I must give it a go.
Thanks Queenbee felt better after a power nap in the afternoon.
I am really getting a kick out of growing my wheatgrass. A question, in the west how much is a shot of wheatgrass for one ounce?
Need to find a supplier of wheat berries fast. I brought over my wheat berries from China, but wont be going back until mid April and will run out soon.
I am filling up all my hanging baskets and will need to put up some more. The side of the restaurant is perfect for them, a god breeze and indirect sunlight.
yesterday in preparation for the opening I made
Cashew salad dressing
Chocolate mousse tart
Dried mango bits for my mango ice cream
I froze 10 kgs of fruit for ice cream
I need to make 3 more raw desserts this morning, burgers, dips and so on.
But no matter, raw food is so much easier and faster to prepare than conventional cooking.
Feeling good, but so busy in the kitchen haven't been down to the beach for a swim. Must take some time out to do that.
Wow, Cai - keeping busy! Sounds great! I think the cost on wheatgrass probably varies depending on the city/town/location. I don't buy it at juice bars so I can't help, but the next time I go by I check out the prices.
B: Strawberry-avocado-mint smoothie
L: Mixed green salad w/corn, tomatoes, avocado, sauerkraut ... probably more but I'm forgetting
S: very small raw brownie (not one I made - had to try it)
D: Kale with raw "nacho cheeze"
S: Leftover smoothie & a few nuts
good morning all,
Sugar: The Bitter Truth - YouTube
Watched this, this morning. it confirmed what my body knew. Sugar intake leads to me to want more and is never satisfied.
Now I know why.
I am searching for the perfect burger, tried 2 different recipes, but am noticing a back flavours of bitterness, could this be from the flaxseed or the onion?
My key lime pie came out perfect, I read a few recipes and adapted them to what I have available, used the soft coconut flesh instead of coconut oil or butter. Thickened it with coconut flour instead of shredded coconut. Rob got me thinking about that.
A question, I bought my shredded coconut from another supplier for half the price, I left it in the fridge for a couple of days before drying it, that's the only difference, I also noticed that the new suppliers coconut is wetter. When I dried it it turned brown and looks like toasted coconut and smells like sweat. Any suggestions?
Sort of snacked yesterday as I tasted things and adjusted seasonings. I made a sundried tomatoes sunflower seed pesto that tastes bitter, need to fix that or bin it. I think I must taste each ingredient before I use it in the dish.
Sign was put up yesterday, my lovely bougainvillea that needed to be trimmed back to accommodate the sign is now a stick.
Still wanting to go to the coffee shop and sit down to a strong cup of coffee. But I can cope.
Strawberry Avocado mint smoothie , I have all those ingredients.
Will make that today.
I make mushroom burgers which are delish and don't use any flax. I have posted it on here somewhere but it may be hard to find. I'll try to find the source.
Getting off of my string of days at work...ready for a few days off!!!! I've gotta catch up and see what you guys are doing! :)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a NEW FAVORITE PIZZA!!!!!! You GUYS!!!!!! You HAVE TO....ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY ****MUST**** try Alissa's Saisage and Onion Pizza!!!!!!!!!! It's just TOO GOOD FOR WORDS!!!!!!!
I absolutely totally and completely LOVE this Pizza!!!!!!! It's TOTALLY to LIVE for!!!!!!
This is the one I make - it is very, very good!!!
