Default Juice Feasting & Intense Workouts...

    ...is it possible?

I have been saving money to do a 30 day juice feast, which I am really excited to do, but I also do intense workouts at the gym 6 days a week.

Will I be able to continue while I am juice feasting? Is it safe?

If you drink enough juice then I would think it would be safe.

I was thinking/hoping the same thing. Also bringing some fresh orange juice if I start to feel weak or shaky would help as it is high in sugars.

    Thanks, MT!

This is only my personal opinion, but I would consider it very unwise to do strenuous exercise whilst on a juice feast/fast.

I'd agree with you if the person doing it was coming from a heavily SAD norm and a heavily un-fit norm. I think Walnutty should be ok though as long as she's feeding her bodily enough in the form of the juices she's consuming. Since juices can often times now include oils etc it might help to define the feasting parameters perhaps.

As long as you are taking in enough calories and carbs, it shouldn't be a problem. I'd focus on mostly fruit juices which are higher in calories and carbs, although it is good to drink at least one glass of vegetable juice daily as well.

During my last 14 day juice feast, I had plenty of energy and it didn't disrupt my exercise routine. I was probably averaging around 6-7 liters of juice per day. 5-6 liters of it was usually something like watermelon juice with lime, and one liter of something like carrot, tomato, zucchini, spinach. I did have other juices as well for variety, but that was typical.
I'd rather eat vegan and look like a tree than eat cow and look like a pig.

I practice Krav Maga 3-5 days a week. It is very stenuous! I have done it while juice fasting many times. I always make sure to consume lots of juices. I will usually have a juice with me in classs that I drink while working out and then I will have more juices after the work out.

Cathy I actually posted a question, if anyone knows if its good to drink juices while working out. I do a green veggie juice while exercising and have noticed a big difference in a feeling of energy, and nourishment at the same time. I dont really get that with water, also tried water with ACV but not as well as the veggie drink. Just wanted to make sure its a good thing to do for the organs while exercising. Thank you :)

I'm on day 15 of a 21 day fast. I'm also a runner. I still run and cross train. I just make sure to have my beverage of choice on hand at all times. I will drink closer to my departure time than I do when I'm not fasting.

This was definitely a good thread to find today. :)

I'm going to make sure to have spinach celery and carrot juice on hand pretty much any time it's available.

here's from my experience (which is all i can really speak from)

during a fast... at times i have heaps of energy and exercise is a thing of ease. other times i have no energy so rest is better. i just go with the flow. there is no "do this" or "do that" when it comes to fasting. following YOUR body and do whatever it needs. you'll know if your work out and fasting/feasting isn't working for ya... trust in that.
