Hi there,
Happy to be here! I'm a 58 year old female from Atlanta Georgia. I'm a long-time vegetarian and have gone 99% vegan. Started to do some raw food and love the vibrant flavors. We finally invested in a spiralizer and a dehdydrator.
I find my tastes have changed and I no longer crave any processed products or stuff like bread. I'll admit to a little bit of a sweet tooth still and that's where the cocoa coconut balls come in (shredded coconut, cocoa, coconut oil, agave, vanilla, and some chia seeds---put in the freezer to firm up).
On Sunday I lost my young coconut virginity (thanks to a farmer's market that opened one up for me and gave me the meat) and used it for a raw chocolate pudding with cocoa.
I help organize some vegan/vegetarian Meetup groups and am trying to introduce them to raw foods. Some of them may be vegetarian/vegan, but still very unhealthy eaters (like how some college kids are vegetarians but live on French fries and pizza).
