Thread: Hello!

    Default Hello!

    Hello,

My name is Nick, I'm from Ireland and I'm quite new to this. I'm on day three of a juice fast, to be honest I didn't think I'd make it past day one. Im a former vegetarian and having gone back to my non-vegetarian ways I feel awful. So, I'm gonna juice for as long as it takes to feel good again.

Looking forward to getting to know you all,

    Nick

    Hey,

this is my first time getting this far, so any tips would be very welcome. Each time I've tried before I didn't make it past the first day. I have a slight touch of psoriasis so I'm hoping this will really help. I'm sick of using external treatments for an internal problem.

It will make a difference. It does for my BF when he is diligent enough to eat 100% raw.

Hi Nick. Do you live in Ireland or have you deserted us.

    Fáilte, Nick.

I would suggest that you juice a variety of fruits and vegetables. If you juice just one type of food, you will be deficient in something and you will crave solid food. So in addition to your fruit juices, try juicing some celery and leafy greens like spinach, kale, or collards along with tomatoes and carrots for example.

I also suggest that you drink as often and as much as you like. Don't deprive yourself. Drink some juice whenever you feel hungry. However, you should also avoid store bought juices because they are pasteurized and they won't satisfy you like freshly made juice will.
I'd rather eat vegan and look like a tree than eat cow and look like a pig.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm still living in Ireland but due to my demanding job I have to fly to Europe quite a bit. Regarding my juice, I've been juicing for 5 days now, lost 8lbs and seen dramatic improvements in my skin and hair already.

I juice the following to make my drinks:

Kale, apples, ginger, lemon, cucumber, celery. - I have one of these three times a day.

For a treat I juice a variety of different fruits like oranges, apples, limes, lemons, grapefruits, passion fruits, pomegranates, pears etc and just mix them together (depending on what I have to hand).

I drink the juices whenever I feel hungry and I've noticed I have way more energy than normal (it's 1:36 am here now and I can't sleep, I've been up since 8am).

Thanks for all the tips, I appreciate it, I'm looking to push this fast up to or past the 30 day mark. Some of my friends reckon I'll need to consult a doctor due to the length of time I'll be juicing, can anyone verify this?

    Thanks again.

It sounds like you are doing a good job juicing and that you are getting good nutrition from it. As to whether you want to see a doctor or not it's up to you. Personally, I juiced for 30 days back in June, and it didn't even cross my mind to see a doctor.

You seem to be doing great. If only those who ate unhealthily would consult a doctor! Why people suggest healthy eaters should is beyond me.

There is no need for a doctor if you do not suffer from some ailment already. You could consider colon hydrotherapy if you find that you are not having bowel movements. It will help to remove the toxins more quickly. If you are not having any fiber in your diet then there is nothing to push out the toxins that are being released in to your system.

Welcome Nick...I hope you are still here on the forum. It sounds as if you are off to a great start! Love juicing even though I can only juice fast a couple of days at a time.
