Welcome, do what you can, it's not what you do, it's more about getting active. I wish you could have seen me when I started. Enjoy the journey. It awesome!

Today I spent 30 min working on climbing skills and gym rings with my 2 yr old grand daughter. It vital that we keep our kids ( grand kids) active! I got a new set of plyo boxes ( 12",18",24",30"). She plays with the 12" box daily.

My workout for no time 5 rounds of:
    10 box jumps 24"
    5 ring dips
Worked up a good sweat, GET SOME!

It's great that you're getting your 2yo granddaughter interested in exercise. It's maybe even greater that you're a grandfather and in the kind of shape you are in. Keep it up!

Yesterday, walked to a different supermarket in town, bought a few things, and walked back. Probably about 5.5 miles there and back.

This evening we walked 1 mile, jogged 1¾ miles, walked ½ mile. We were going to jog an extra ¼ mile but the rain started coming down and we were close to home so we cut it a little short.

Gianni, kids are a natural for exercise, they are constantly moving so why not teach them something. My wife is a former Marine also, and a natural athlete, so our grand child is a good spot.

Today we rode our bikes for 10 mi, my wife did pretty good considering her last Ride was a 20 mi ride a year ago August. Get some!

I also used most of the machines at the gym. Yay me!

@tofumond - Good job. Keep it going! :)

Today, I did a total of 105 push ups ( 1x25, 4x20 spread out over the day).

Tonight was relatively cool for a summer night in Brazil. The dog and I walked 1 mile, jogged 2¾ miles, walked another mile. We jogged faster than usual, and I think this was the first time we jogged 2 full laps around the neighborhood, meaning that we would twice have to climb two short but steep hills in the process. Legs are sore, but I'm feeling good.

He is survived by his wife Amy and three children, Michael, Landon and Olivia.

    Roy

20 Box jumps, 2.5 rds on 24" box, 2.5 rds on 20 inch box

    Hi everybody!

@Choose2BWell - it takes courage to brave the cold like that.

Yesterday, the local supermarket has discounted produce on Tuesdays. I was without a car so I went there 5 times on foot - 650m there (long way), 500m back (short way).

The 1st time, we walked there because I took the dog without a leash and whenever I started jogging, she would tear off about 15m in front of me, wait until I caught up, and then she would do the same again. So we just walked there and she stayed properly at my heel. I bought a 30 pound watermelon (US$5) and carried it home.

The next 4 times, I would jog fast there, buy some produce, and walk back, twice carrying watermelons (30lb. & 22 lb.) back home.

Later in the evening, we went for a 2.4 mile walk.

Great job everyone!!! I love all the pictures that have been posted! Such beautiful grandchildren and pets. :-)

I took a full week off of running and then then went to the doctor. I have distal posterior tibial tendontis on my left foot so I need to take a little more time off. Any thoughts on getting this healed quickly would be appreciated. I was given some exercises and learned a few things I did wrong during my training to work on in the future. In the meantime, I've been doing some sculpting dvd's, horseback riding, and I'm so ready to back on my bike this weekend.

Brrrr...its cold here in Indiana. I did pilates this morning and then some rebounding. Ha, it was worth it to just warm up!

Thanks, the kids imitate what they see us do. I suffered from major ankle pain ( tendinitis) due to previous injuries, I recommend rest and stretching, heat pad. Once you feel better purchase a small trampoline ($30), I began rebounding (or run in place) on it before and especially after a run and my pain and discomfort is minimal.

Today DC WX was nasty, so I didn't walk, just completed Yoga X. Get some!

@ 2 husky girl - Sorry to hear about your injury. Did you pick it up during the half-marathon?

By the way, I tried running a half-marathon some 20-odd years ago and picked up a foot injury at the 10-mile mark, had to walk in the last 3 miles until I reached the synthetic athletic track for the last 120 yards of the race on which I was able to sprint in. I guess I wasn't used to running the distance nor running on the hard surface of the street.

I'd like to give it another go at the half-marathon, maybe next year, and then a marathon the year after that. Staying injury free is probably the most difficult thing though.

    ------------------------

Yesterday, was a rest day. Tonight, I walked 4 miles with the dog.
