Good evening, I only get 30 min for lunch also, but the job encourages fitness. It's mandatory for most, and necessary for those like me who want to maintain the edge and stay heathy and fit; So we make the best of it.

The question now becomes, if more employers would allow for their employees to workout during the work day, what would the impact be on all fronts? Perhaps that's a discussion for another day.

May workout for to today was

    2 mi walk during lunch

PM: 20 min of rebounding followed by Yoga X. Get some!

I typically don't watch bobble head tv, but tonight the Biggest Loser had the best Cross Fit athletes working with the biggest loser contestants. The BL is an inspiring show, I can relate.

I believe the vast majority of people should change their diet first before engaging in a new exercise regime because eating the typical SAD diet leaves people's bodies acidic, unhealthy, and lacking the energy to perform. Surely if people were to change to a healthy vegan diet and started exercising regularly, their health and productivity would go up.

Yesterday, walked 2.5 miles and did 25 push-ups.
I'd rather eat vegan and look like a tree than eat cow and look like a pig.

Good point, but some (most) people will begin exercising before changing their nutrition. As some of my friends tell me, they like to drink and eat and, "it's tough to do as you have done, but I will walk or try running, or join a gym.... But I can't give up my food." That is what I hear and see.

    Walked 2 mi

    Warm up 1000 single unders

    Bench Press 5x5 BW
    Deadlifts. 5x5 BW
    knees to elbows 5x5

    Get some!

I would agree with this, diet changes internally and detoxes which ultimately is the goal. But it would be great if employers offered the option to their workers. Even when I was SAD, exercising made me feel much better. I slept better, in turn I started making better food choices. BUT not all people are the same and I'm sure a large % of Americans wouldnt even take advantage of the time provided for them to exercise. But it could potentially motivate others in the least.

Today I woke up and did yoga. Biked for 45 minutes, and walked for 30 mins briskly.

Tonight I may get out for another walk, maybe let my doggie come with :-)

Had a good day, went to the dentist, told him to keep his fluoride, he just laughed. Since changing my nutrition my checks ups are great.

Work out: walked 2 mi during lunch

Warm up 10 min stretching, shoulder mobility WOD. The last time I did this workout I was unable to finish it, I had been working out hard so Increasing the reps from 35 to 50 shouldn't have been a problem. That's when I realized there was something physically wrong with me. Lesson: learn what you normal is and use it as your gauge.

    Filthy fifty For time:
50 Box jump, 24 inch box
    50 Jumping pull-ups
    50 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood
    Walking Lunge, 50 steps
    35 Knees to elbows
    50 Push press, 45 pounds
    50 Abmat sit-ups
35 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
    35 Burpees
    200 Single unders
Time 31:52 one minute faster. The burpees sucked, along with the knees to elbow.

Cool down 20 min of rebounding GET SOME!

Yes, exercising is important to one's health, physical and mental, so even if someone were eating a SAD diet, it would help even if it were only light walking for 5-10 minutes a day.

The problem in my case particularly was that I was no longer in my teens and 20's. I was middle-aged, and I had no energy on my ovo-lacto vegetarian somewhat SAD diet. My wife would tell me I needed to exercise more. I would tell her I was tired and didn't feel like it. I still managed to walk a mile or so 2-3 times a week, but it wasn't until I went vegan (high raw) and eliminated foods like grains, processed foods, and all animal protein that I got the energy and desire to exercise more.

    ============

Yesterday, jogged 500m to the supermarket, then later in the evening I took a brisk 2.5 mile walk with the dog.

Spinning one hour during the week and running 1,5 hours on weekends.

I agree that SAD makes you tired when exercising. I work out much better on high raw.

Nice day in DC , even though it took 2hrs to get to work this morning.

    Walked 2 mi

PM: 20 min rebounding followed by 5 min of stretching; then I worked on things I suck at

Hand stand holds 5 sec each x10 (2:00 break between holds, enough to prevent injury)
    Hand stand push-up progressions 5x5
    Gym ring push-ups 5x5

5 min rebounding, followed by shoulder stretching. What I learned today, don't drink water before doing hand stand holds! : ) GET SOME!

Yesterday, jogged 500m to the supermarket, jogged 650m back (took the longer way home). Did 3 sets of 25 push-ups. Also did some flys and curls with the dumbbells. Later in the evening took the dog out and walked 1 mile, jogged 2 miles, walked 1 more.

@2 husky girl - Good luck with your half marathon. Hopefully you're all rested and raring to go!

    Good luck 2 husky girl!

Today I lifted a lot of heavy things at work for about 3 hours. I guess I can be thankful for a job that requires physical activity once in awhile as opposed to a desk job.

Good job everybody on their workouts.

Didn't feel like doing much today, but felt I owed the dog her evening walk. Was going to only walk 1 mile, but ended up walking 4 miles.

Yesterday, jogged 650m with the dog to the supermarket, had to stop once for a bathroom break. Walked back, left the dog, and jogged back another 650m to the supermarket. Bought a 27lb. watermelon and carried back home. It was a beautiful day and so I went swimming a bit too.

@ 2 husky girl - you're race is probably starting about now. Let us know how you got on.
