    Red face Loving Ginger

Has anyone had a problem or died from drinking too much ginger juice?

Because we love it and have been going though a pound a week of ginger since we started juicing.

    LOL!

Been reading tons of great things about ginger like immune boosting, anti-inflammatory, clearing microcirculatory paths, improved absorption of nutrients, anti-cancer, etc.
But saw a few bad ones like has oxalate which may cause kidney stones, may reveal preexisting gall stone issues, and suggestions of limiting to 4 grams a day, which is like a tiny nub on the cutting board.

I'm sure there is a quantity that equates to too much. I don't know what that amount is and I expect it's different for each of us. I doubt 1lb a week is too much though it is more than I eat. If you feel ok then carry on but carry on researching; cuisines that use ginger a lot would perhaps easily use that much. Those who practice/follow Chinese medicine might consider that much ginger too "heating".

I love ginger too but I am not brave enough to drink it stand alone. I have it in all my juice combos and I like it with just apple juice. Plus I drink ginger tea often!

I like it a lot too. I usually add ginger, turmeric and even beet almost daily to smoothies and juices. I got a little worried about it being "too much". So I skip some days here and there just to be on the safe side.

    Hmmm
One of the most under utilized ingredients that I keep stocked in my kitchen.

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.
