    Default Recent thoughts & wonderings...

So, 2006 I started my raw journey. From 2007-2009 100% raw. Then my slide into S.A.D. Oblivion. :) then Thanksgiving came upon me. I'm the maker of the entire meal at this point. My youngest child has decided all on her own that meat is no longer an option for her. I am so proud of her. We told her this is always her choice. She is a very conscious eater.

This has begun to stir deep seated emotions within me. I long to be 100% again. Really thriving. Loving what I eat.

I did not enjoy any of the food at the Thanksgiving table. Even when everyone else raved of it's goodness.

I believe my path has brought me back. My child has inspired. She reminds me that we all make our choices. What are mine going to be from this day forward???

    I choose raw.

Hello. You can do it. Nice to see you on the main forum rather than lurking in the blog section. It's fun out here :)

Graham Nash of Crosby Stills Nash and Young

    TEACH YOUR CHILDREN

You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
    And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good bye.

    Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

    And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.

    Counter Melody To Above Verse:
Can you hear and do you care and
Cant you see we must be free to
Teach your children what you believe in.
Make a world that we can live in.

    Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

Welcome back! I was hungry on Thanksgiving because I just couldn't eat the traditional foods! I had to wait until I got home to eat. After a while, you will become immune.

I saw an interesting article by Karen Knowler but can't post it here as it doesn't quite fit the rules! Worth looking at though.
