Default Question about pea sprouts or shoots.

    Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone here could shed some light on something for me? I was looking up these "sprouts" in the USDA database for different nutritional readouts and this is how they are listed.

    Peas, mature seeds, sprouted, raw

I am wondering if anyone here knows if this is referring to Pea sprouts as in not grown in a soil medium? (Or hydroponic if that is possible) Or if this is referring to just the sprouts without the shoots? You know, like just sprouting them without really planting them or putting them inside of a tray to grow. Thanks anyone who can help!

best to ask the source that published the data but I would take it to mean sprouted rather than grown. Sprouts as opposed to micro greens or greens.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking...Not at first, but later on. I will have to find out how to contact them to ask questions. Appreciate the quick answer.
