    Default made dr oz morning drink in vitamix

    I made dr oz drink this morning for my breakfast. ENJOY!

    2 red apples
    2 cups spinach
    1 cucumber
    3 sticks of celery
    bunch of parsley
    1/2" ginger root with skin removed
    1/2" juiced lemon
    1" juiced lime
    a little water added

    It was okay. Not the worst and not the best. I think a little strong on the ginger root, lemon and lime. It has loads of nutrition in it though.

    I hear you dmb about the taste... Sometimes we just down it knowing that it does a body good!

    Personally, I like juicing better. I've never liked the texture of smoothies. That would make a good juice combo.

    Since you have a vitamix, I have to ask, why peel the ginger, or juice the lime/lemon? I'm sure you can toss them all in there and it will have more nutrition, same taste and less work.

    I don't actually juice the lime/lemon as i have a squeeze tool that i use to get the juice out. I have just always peeled the ginger for some reason.

    I make that in a juice and its super yummy.

    do you use a whole cucumber? Mine had a strong bitter taste. Pretty sure it was either the lemon, lime or ginger. I may try it without the ginger next time and see what it taste like.

    I put it through the juicer not blender. Im not a fan of cucumber so as little as possible.

    I agree but I think it's the seeds in particular that I don't like the juice of.

    made this again last night and it was much better! I only used 1 apple and 2 celery sticks instead of 3. Also only used 1/2 lime.
