    Default Crossfit

There are a few older threads on raw foodies doing crossfit with not too much info. I am a huge raw food advocate... and LOVE crossfit. The problem with crossfit is that most crossfitters think that the more meat you eat, the heavier you will lift and the better crossfit performance you will have! I would like to prove this wrong! I'm on day 5 (after years of falling off the raw bandwagon) of 100% raw. For the last two years I've been working out a LOT (my job depends on it)... and I fell into the trap of eating 'normal' foods again while trying to fit in with people at work. Now that I am no longer a rookie and am making ME a priority again I will be doing some experimenting with crossfit and what its like on 100% raw. It's been 5 days and so far I feel good... I will keep you all updated.

Anyone have experience with long term crossfitting while being vegan/raw vegan?

One week into crossfitting on raw, and I did my first ever unassisted (without using bands) pull ups!

    Good evening,

I have been cross fitting on raw/vegan from Nov through Jul of this year. Search the movement thread from jan through Jul of this year. All my work outs are logged.

Work is intense and cross fit helps keep the edge. I added nuts, seeds, quinoa, sweet potatoes and beans for more energy.

I had to stop, (doctors orders) on Aug 3rd and I am recovering from surgery (2 wks) My body wants to move, but I can't. While they were trying to figure out what was wrong, I continued with the jump rope and box jumps. Did 104 24" box jumps for my 52nd birthday. Planning 237 box jumps followed by the Marine fitness test for the Marines birthday, provided I get cleared by the docs.

Part of my recovery includes quality organic fruits and veggies. Good job on the pull-up!

Once I get my life back to my normal, I will post the details of my experience for the last 7 plus weeks.
