Default From raw to SAD - what happened?

I have eaten mainly raw for about 6 months. Then under significant amount of stress I began to eat mainly processed food. Next day my legs, especially ankles became very swollen, I have problems with putting on snickers. I couldn't believe that! Then when I went from my job by foot, cramps began in my legs and I have to stop every few meters just for cramps to stop! Of course I couldn't run that day and when I go running next day I felt like I had very heavy legs. Really scary experience!

So when you went back on SAD what did you notice?

When I've gone back SAD after eating raw for a while I just notice all of the benefits I received on raw go as quickly as they came. I've never really experienced anything extra coming on though. As for the ankle swelling I'm a runner too and my ankles swell when I run a lot in extremely hot weather.

This is not an experiment I would welcome anyone to try. The more important question is: Did YOU learn anything from this experience? Did it help YOU to see that eating SAD is in fact sad for your body?

We don't want to encourage anyone to go back to SAD or to even dwell on what happened when a person goes back to SAD way of eating. Let's be positive and encourage one another not to do this. :)

When under stress or when in a highly emotionally experience DON'T EAT!!! Give your body a break while the situation works itself out as it most always does!

SAD = weight gain, health decrease, water retention in joints, increase in decline of health with issues that were significant before raw

These are just a few of the things that are affected by going back to SAD. Hence, why we are all here.

The first thing i notice is a massive lack of energy, heavy feeling in my head, and onset of mild depression which increases over time with SAD. In other words, quality of life is severely affected.

Stick with raw. For SO many reasons.

Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind,
and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.

I was only raw for 2 weeks before falling off the wagon and I regretted it SO much the next day. My energy levels were way way down, my whole body swelled- my face & stomach was where it was most noticeable. I broke out with acne overnight. And I STUNK, LOL! My armpits didn't stink at all while raw, but I didn't really notice it until I needed to put deodorant on for the first time in a week. Oh man, it made me nevr want to go back to SAD. I had been exercising everyday for the whole 2 weeks and then I literally could not get it of bed the day after I ate sad. It's amazing what raw food does for our bodies. I'm still only in the beginning months but I absolutely love this way of eating. It's so worth all the work I put into learning all about it.
