i do juice spinach and I usually get some stuff of it, I do not understand what U mean by wasting? U could say this about any fruit or veggie that U juice.

I often drink green smoothies ( spinach, banana , strawberry, water) but not now while on juice feast.

8 day I m coming , however I was ssoooo close to breaking it today.

Well I guess it's because my juicer is cheap or isn't built for herb or plant-like foods. When I try to juice these things they just fly into "pulp pit" and no juice comes out at all. It juices fruits, cucumbers and celery juice fine, though.

Anyway, like I said, I get more use out of the spinach when I just put it in a smoothie. I can eat more of it, annnd it's quick to make.

It's by no means perfect but if you tightly wadge-up the greens they juice ok through a centrifugal juicer. I keep meaning to try hollowing out a chunk of cucumber and putting the greens inside that and then putting say an apple on top in the feed-chute to see if that helps at all. Definitely possible but far from perfectly efficient.

Yummy, yummy juice for breakfast - Apple, Carrot, beet, 2-3 inches of cucumber (yay me!!!), celery and ginger.
Lost 15lbs this past 7 days - I have even had comments in work that I look slimmer and that was from one of the lads! Trousers that were tight last week are comfortable now and I feel really good and content.

Most interesting for me is that I haven't felt cold, not even when I was just having water. I intend to make fasting a regular thing. Probably 5 days a week in the short term then longer periods further apart.

Can I sign up for the fellowship please Aleesha?

Some of that time you will spend sleeping, yes? Only you can know what you will do. If it's raw it's good. If the fast is over it's good. If it continues it's good. :)

You can do what you think is best for you. If you eat lightly (break your fast correctly) and then go back to your fast, why not? There are no limitations except staying raw and doing what is best for you.

I made juice for one of my work colleagues at lunch today. She liked it so much that she's asked me to make one every lunchtime and will pay me! It will cover the cost of my lunchtime juice, thus reducing my food bill for the day by approx 50% :)

    Hi all,

I am still here had a few set backs, very very small ones, so I am not beating myself up. I totally forgot to make my smoothie before work to day so I bought the Naked Green Juice, I know not raw but better than nothing. It has no sugar and pretty much everything that I put in my smoothies.

Will be back on track tomorrow.

    Good luck to all

Day 10 for me. Blood-red juice from the beetroot is sitting in front of me on my desk.
    Glands in neck swollen. Sore

I told you I'd be back! My 2-day mini intro last week was great, and I'm ready to start working up to more prolonged fasts. I go out of town (and away from a juicer) on Sunday, so I can only commit to a three-day fast at the moment, but since I'm such a newbie, this is probably a necessary step for me anyway if I ever want to go longer. I always want to jump head-on into things (like a 10-day fast!), but then I get so intimidated by the huge commitment that I chicken out and give up almost instantly. I just have to accept that I am a person who needs to take baby steps to achieve her goals. Thanks for being such a great resource for me while I learn!

fancied a vitamin C blast this morning - it's practically knocking me out of my chair orange, lemon, kiwi, carrot and apple. very pretty colour and so sweet! A nice treat for this dreary morning.Swollen glands are way down and not so sore.

Little cress, I understand the juicer dilemma because I don't have electricity at home. I take my juicer in to work and only use that juicer there. At weekends I have my wine press which actually make superior juice. I grate everything first then press it. The juice is 99.9% free of even tidy sediment forming stuff and it tastes better than from the centrifugal juicer made juice.

I know lots of people who travel with their juicers. Maybe that's something you can contemplate?
