Cool Six month challenge 10/1, who's with me?

I'll be starting a 100% raw, six month challenge on October 1st. For me, I'm going from Vegetarian SAD (don't let the "Vegetarian" part fool you, it's a miserable diet, indeed) to 100% raw vegan, because I've learned from being raw before, and trying to "transition" and "balance" that it has to be all or nothing for me.

I, personally, will be following Alissa's philosophy of anything goes, as long as it's raw. After the garbage I've been dumping in my body, I'm sure it'll be delighted with dealing with the problems different raw food combinations.

I'll also check in on the monthly challenges and be a part of those, but I think it would be amazing if a bunch of us can support each other, if anyone else is ready to make a truly profound difference in their own life.

Perfect timing KMIK!!! I have already lost 13 lbs and just started on September 10th. It is getting to the point where I crave Raw foods and not having craving for cooked food at all. In fact, when out with a friend last week the food looked so unappealing!!!!

I am also gearing up for my first all Raw Thankgiving. I've got the menu all planned and am so excited!!!

Yes, it will get better Mitch. Once giving up SAD and embracing Raw again, it ALWAYS gets better!!!! I was spaced out on SAD for about a year. Gained 65 lbs and felt and looked HORRIBLE!!!! Just a little shy of three weeks and I have so much energy and feel and look great!!!

I would love to be a part of the six month raw challenge, too.

Kmik, I'm totally with you. I've been SAD vegan since June, which is healthier than plain old SAD, but still is not the best. My goal is to look and feel my best by Thanksgiving and hopefully be about 10 pounds lighter.

Glad to have you along Icebox!

So, what's everyone doing this weekend to prepare for our big start on Monday?

    Default getting ready

To get ready for the six month challenge, I have not done much... I am eating more raw foods, but I need to figure out what I'm going to eat next week. My blender died last week and I just ordered my Vitamix Friday night. So, it's going to be a challenge for a while. I would love to hear what everyone's doing. Maybe that will give me some ideas.
