    Default Hi there :)

    Hi all. I'm Marshelle.

I'm new to the whole raw thing but lately my health hasn't been all that great and I just feel gross all the time from processed food. I'm starting off slow and have been eating 75% raw for the past week. My biggest challenge so far has been giving up bread, I'm a total sandwich junkie. Anyone have any good tips for things other than bread?

Welcome!! I wish you the best of rawesome health! As for the breads, there are raw recipes, as well as crackers, chips, and also you can always roll up just about anything in a sheet of nori, a collard or lettuce leaf

    Welcome!
I'd rather eat vegan and look like a tree than eat cow and look like a pig.

    Welcome Marshelle!

You need to try Alissa's Pizza Bread recipe. For me, if I give up things that I love, I set myself up for failure. I love sandwiches too, and Pizza Bread took care of that need for me!

I don't have a dehydrator but I went I first went raw, I used sprouted bread to get the fix. But over time as you move toward 100% raw, you will find less of a desire for those types of foods. Your body will rebel and as you begin to feel better, you will have less inclination to eat those types of foods.

I find that because glutens are so addictive that swapping them for other cooked carbs like rice or potatoes for 3-4 days helps the transition. Then once the gluten is out of your system the rest of the transition will be alot easier! Feeling deprived has never helped me stick to anything so I trade up in baby steps so my body can adjust and I don't feel like I'm at war with myself. After the gluten leaves my body the cravings diminish to the level that dehydrated breads and crackers are satisfying. Then when I'm on 100% raw for about a week or so and my body has adjusted again I go to nori sheets and lettuce wraps and I'm a happy camper with no deprivation or stress.
Sending love and light to everyone, everywhere, always! :)
