Seems unlikely but I don't know anyone who has tried it.

I wouldn't waste my money on them, personally, but if you'd like to make an equivalent for very little money, then consider buying some fresh cayenne pepper (you could use cayenne powder but fresh cayenne is way more potent, since it's the volatile oils we are after).

Simply place the fresh cayenne in a blender with a good amount of pure alcohol (vodka); it should ideally be of a strength at least 40% ABV (70% proof).

Having blended it, you can then strain-off the sediment if you wish, or you can leave it in for several weeks or months before straining. Either way, when you strain it, it is best if you can squeeze the sediment to extract as much fluid and volatile oils as you can.

If you are using cayenne powder, the blending is optional.

Anyway, when all is said and done, this cayenne tincture can be taken internally (to improve circulation, generally - great for the heart, for example), but, most specifically for your situation, it can be externally applied, directly to the scalp, to stimulate blood flow (and thus blood-borne nutrient flow) to the hair follicles.

I make no claims for it's trichological efficacy, but I very much doubt expensive commercial 'follicle stimulator' sprays will stimulate your follicles any more than cayenne tincture (cayenne exerts very potent effects upon the vascular system), so it wouldn't hurt to give the cayenne a try if you're that way inclined. Obviously, a spray bottle will help you apply the cayenne tincture more easily to the scalp than a dropper, but spray bottles are pretty easy to obtain these days (from a garden centre or DIY store, for example). Oh, and do remember to make sure there's no sediment left in the tincture to block up the spray nozzle, or you definitely won't have any success... ;-)

I would just add that any attempt to improve hair growth should include nutritional efforts, not just external solutions, but nutritional approaches to hair growth lie outside the remit of this thread and I'm sure you've read up on this, anyway.

Furthermore, I don't know if you are male or female, or what your medical health is like, but if you're experiencing common male pattern baldness, I would caution you not to get your hopes up too high - it is much more important, under such circumstances, to handle one's psychological response to hair loss in a healthy manner. Again, I can contribute relevant information to such a discussion, but it lies outside the remit of this thread, since this thread is about follicle stimulator spray.

Good luck; let us know how you get on.
