Default Tiny white worms on my leafy greens.

I was going to eat some swiss chard today and I noticed little white lines in the leaf as I was washing it off. I wondered what they were so I pushed on one with my finger nail. It was like a tinny little worm and it was moving. I couldn't eat it after that, it grossed me out.

But, maybe they're harmless. Maybe we eat them all the time in leafy greens and don't even realize it. It looked like most of them were in the leaf - not on the leaf (they were that small). So, I guess I'll throw out these greens. But, I was wondering if it was safe to eat them that way, because I have already had some of them.

    Thanks

If they were in the leaf look up leaf miners for more information, like natural ways to deter them, caloric value (lol, j/k), etc. I get slugs making holes and leaving trails on my kale but have not seen leaf miners in any of my greens.

The leaves will be fine to eat. You will probably want to avoid the parts with the grubs in although I expect our ancestors weren't so picky.
