Default Why do berries get that white mold on them?

Everytime I buy strawberries or other kinds of berries from the grocery store, I notice that they always get this white mold on them before I have time to eat all of them. Sometimes they have white mold on them at the grocery store. What is up with that, and what can you do about it?

    Thanks

Not sure why but i know, if i buy berry that look ok, i had to eat them A.S.P.

Berries are like this, they don't last long. Also any food ship, takes a while to get to the grocery store.

I don't buy the berries with mold, i wait to find perfect one.

    All the best!

When I buy berries - raspberries at the moment are really good - they don't last long enough to get mold. Sounds as though the shop you get them from isn't very good. Might be worth asking which day they get berries delivered in and at least buy those freshly delivered ones.

I am planting up lots of berry-bearing plants this autumn and next spring. I am going have a whole lot of berry going on!
