    Smile Alissa's method is freeing

My name is Lynn and I'm mum to six kids. I live in Australia and am 44years old. I've been interested in healthy eating for years inspired by my children. Last year I discovered raw and had increased my raw food intake to about 50% but found eating 100% to difficult due to reading so many different ideas of what you should and shouldn't eat on a raw diet. I was confused and scared of putting on more weight.

However a month ago I bought Alissa's book "Living on Live Food". Read it from front cover to back cover. Needless to say I loved it and thought it would be very doable. I started100% raw a week ago and have lost about 5 pounds already, eating as much as I like, when I like. It seems to good to be true.

I read a book 'Eat to Live' by Joel Fuhrman. It really impacted how I ate vegan and what i didnot eat anymore. good luck.

Couldn't agree with you more, Lyn! No counting calories, portions, etc, especially when transitioning. What's more, as I said in another thread, the beauty of raw is that you do not have to have what is thought of as "traditional meals" - if I want, I can easily make a meal out of a decadent raw dessert.
