Not me strikes again
I have six bags of apples ( mixed variety) sitting in the fridge. I made the SAD folks some apple treats & juicing, & been eating them plain.
I decided early this am I was going to dehydrate some w/ different flavors. (Cin, Pumpkin pie spices, herbs etc) Figure I could save them in a recipe at a later date.
About 15 mins into it , the kitchen had exotic aromas of the blend of all the spices and herbs.
So inquirying minds ( my boys) kept coming in asking what it was, when will it be done etc.
It's been a few hours the house smells awesome I went to check the trays and there appears to be less than when I started ( yes I have dehydrated before, I know about the shrinking) I'm talking there are missing apple slices.
So i asked darling children and got I don't know & Not me These Two individuals are involved in more plots to disrupt our household!!!! ( ha ha)
Seems as though temptation has drawn them into the dehydrater so they got a lecture and I got a laugh. They need to make Locking dehydrators to stop temptation.

This happens in my house A LOT, but I am normally the one snitching before they are done!
As a matter of fact... some things have a hard time even making it INTO the dehydrator! LOL

Growth is not steady, forward, upward progression. It is instead a switchback trail; three steps forward, two back, one around the bushes, and a few simply standing, before another forward leap.

Cute story, Dawn! Although, I'd be excited if I caught my child...err...husband snitching apples instead of sneaking in chips or burritos or pizza.

Kids just make life more interesting!
Well out of 10 trays 4 made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ones they took the most of were the sage & thyme flavored slices(wow)
( seems that went faster than the halloween treats)
My boys love fruits and veggies, the lecture was more for owning up to the truth.
I wish I could get them to slice up the quantity they ate!
Well since my sage slices are missing- I made a Faux stuffing this am
golden delicious apple, onion slices, juli. sliced carrots, olive oil, sage /parsley/thyme( fresh & dried) ,cayenne pepper, sea salt, mix of dried veg pieces ( I dry scrap pieces of bell peppers, onions, garlic, celery, carrots tomatoes that a too small for other recipes)
So necessity being the mother of invention I scored way more than I would have had for breakfast !
