Question Sprouting, dehydrating, blending, dehydrating again raw crackers

I have been soaking and spouting hard wheat berries. After their little tales appear, I dehydrate them. When thoroughly dry, I grind into flour.

After that, I blend puried tomatoes into the mixture, with one hot pepper and dehydrate on low again.

16 ounces of flour and about a cup of tomatoes = 6 cracker's.

My problem is this, how can I stretch this to more crackers? I did the calorie count thing and 16 ounces of flour is 1500 calories divided by 6 is 250 calories each. This will kill my diet. Any suggestions?

    Take care,
    Amy from WA

How many wheat berries do you have?

2 cups is 16 ounces by volume and weighs roughly 200 grams

1 pound is 16 ounces by weight and weighs roughly 500 grams

When I put 16 oz (2 cups) of sprouted wheat berries in cronometer, I get 427 calories. If you can make 6 crackers out of this, each cracker is roughly 71 calories.

Stay strictly raw and you should be fine. There is no reason to count calories on Alissa's program. I find dehydrated stuff really slows weight loss. Maybe try more fresh veggies and fruits......Drink plenty of water.

If you are new to Raw, just staring out on the lifestyle, by all means enjoy your crackers. If that's what it takes to make you happy at this point, again: enjoy!! IF weightloss is your intention and you find it slowing, it could be that dehydrated things are slowing you down. In my experience, as long as it was raw, including raw gourmet and raw desserts - I had little trouble losing weight. In addition, as you mature into the lifestyle, your tastes will probably change and you won't want/need as many of the more 'processed' raw foods as you do when you are new (and hungry...).

I find an ocassional trip to a raw restaurant will take care of any cravings I have for gourmet for quite some time. Simple works in the long run.
