Sprouting Alfalfa on soil ?

Hi,

I'm wondering if someone ever try to sprouts alfalfa seeds on soil ?

Or it grow only in a jar or tray without soil ?

You can sprout it on soil, although I never have. It grows easily in jars, so I normally save the soil for sprouts like sunflower greens, pea shoot greens, chia greens, the occasional tray of buckwheat greens, and most recently fenugreek greens. And of course wheatgrass, reygrass, barleygrass and oatgrass.
