    Default Ending a juice fast/feast...

I would like some input on what those who juice fast/feast end their fast/feast with? What kind of food, that is. Thanks ahead of time for your input!

If water fast, i will drink with a tea spoon orange juice every couple hours or other fruits that is available such melon.

If it would be a juice fast, it would be chewin on fruit or doing smoothie.

Don't introduce fat until your digestive system is back working.

When I juice fast I will usually break with juicy fruits and/or smoothies.. By the second day I will have a salad, but I agree with Raw Angel Mom.. I don't eat nuts or seeds for a few days at least.

That's good to know that others have used fruit. I have heard that you need to eat soaked raw prunes the first few days and that just does not sound appetizing!

Sounds like the sort of thing a prune producer would say - that being said, I love prunes!

    Ha ha ha...so true!

But really I learned about the prunes from other raw foodists that filmed the end of their juice fasts/feasts and put them on youtube.

I love prunes too, but not soaked ones...yeck, blech...

I have read that Grapes are the best thing to break a fast with. They are a complete protein and very easy to digest. Loaded with nutrients and tasty!!

Melons are also excellent. Stay away from acidic fruits such as citrus or pineapple. Bananas are a bit harder to digest so best to avoid those as well.

I'm thinking about this at the moment. I didn't prep for the fast at all which was just the way it was but I can prep for the break.

I was thinking smoothies but my magic bullet hasn't arrived yet. It should arrive this week so I am planning 1-2 days of smoothies before eating solid, simple raw at the weekend.

Though I am planning all this it may not happen this week/weekend. I'm plain not hungry and wonder if I should just go with that vibe or go with the plan I had formulated.

If you are having green smoothies... water them down at first... your body will thank you for it.

As for the prunes... that's the protocol of the 92-day Juice Feast. Hence why you see it on youtube.

I prefer soft fruits or watered down smoothies (although not for myself as I find I gag on them after consuming pulp-free juices while fasting, the thickness of the smoothie is horrid).

I ended my 209-day juice fast with cherries.

And nuts... after a fast waiting for as long as possible to introduce nuts is recommended. I wait 6 weeks even after a short fast.

six weeks is a long time. Is this just for nuts? Do you wait long for say avocado or other fats from olives or evo?

I don't particularly lol. I just wondered. In theory I'm breaking on Saturday but since I seem to be sailing along at the moment, I might go longer. It's all rather taken me by surprise.

oh my body is complaining along the way but I just tell it to get a grip. For the most part though the experience is very positive.
