Hey all, my name is Holly and I'm a 21 yr old Aussie
I've been eating raw/high raw for the past 3 weeks (I only eat cooked vegan meals when I eat out at a restaurant). The majority of my diet includes smoothies, juices, salads, whole fruits and vegetables (all organic) and occasionally activated nuts and seeds. In only 3 weeks, I've lost 2kg, my skin has cleared up completely (I had mild acne) - today for the first time ever a stranger actually complimented on how great my skin looked, which was so amazing!! Furthermore, I feel more energetic, I feel more vibrant and most importantly I feel far more happy!
Other things I've noticed is that I am very rarely bloated, I don't need as much sleep and waking up is easier and the cravings for junk food has completely disappeared - I don't even envy people eating chocolate and cake in front of me.
My friend's and family have commented on the difference they've noticed since the changes and are super supportive, but they still can't completely comprehend why or how I am following through with this, but to be honest after experiencing all the benefits and vitality I couldn't imagine not living this way any more, I intend to convert to this way of eating for the rest of my life and it really makes the image of my future seem that much brighter and exciting!!
I love, love hearing all the positive stories from people who have been raw for a while. A big influence for me has been Mimi Kirk. I'm still in awe at how amazing and young she looks at age 70. Her book, stories and image are the biggest motivators for me.
Anyway this raw food talk is exactly what I need - full of supportive people who are passionate about health!!
