Default Kelp Noodles and Miracle Noodles

    Hello Raw Food Community,

My name is Rosie Wilson, and I've just gone raw. I'm a pasta lover, and I did't want to be deprived of this food on my raw diet; therefore, I ordered some Miracle Noodles ( Angel Hair) and some Kelp Noodles. I made Afredo Sauce to go on the Angel Hair noodles. I prepared the noodles by the directions on the bag, and my dish was a very big disappointment. I had so much gas, I was awake all night. I have six bags of Kelp noodles and five bags of Miracle Noodles ( Angel Hair). I'm willing to give these items to anyone who will pay the postage for delivery.

Anyone who want these noodles may contact me at wilsonone56@yahoo.com

I think lots of people don't get on with kelp noodles. Getting a spiraliser is a good idea. You can pick them up in goodwill stores quite often - not in the UK but in the US you can. Otherwise they are available in shops or online. You can make vegetable pasta which you just marinate in a little oil and lemon plus seasonings and if you have a dehydrator you can use it to soften them a little. Good veggies to use are courgette (zucchini), squash, beetroot. I have put onion through mine too and it just slices it nice and fine.

I'm not a big fan of kelp noodles (possibly not raw) and expensive, plus the crunchy aspect. BUT, I found this video of someone who got them to be the texture of angel hair pasta so I am giving them another try. If just to add yummy sauce and lots of veggies! Ü

I found that if you soak the kelp noodles in warm water with some lemon juice for a good 30 minutes or so, they become soft like a noodle texture. They are awesome in raw pad thai recipes!! YUM!
