    Default Wierd hand problem

A few small bumps showed up on my index finger on my right hand, about a couple years or so ago, they popped and clear stuff came out.I thought wierd, maybe ant bite's?.It started to itch alot and then a red rash covered that finger, after awile it went away. Then it came back and covered that finger again and the one next to it.
Okay it went away again, and has been off and on like that it seems for a loooooooong time.About a year ago it spread to one more finger on that hand.It has now showen up on my left hand with a vengence .It itches like crazy!!!! Especially at night,I will wake out of sleep itching my hands. They burn and hurt very badly.Right now they are at the worst I've seen and felt them. The skin is so dry an tight it hurts to lay my hands flat and there is all kinda deep lines in the fingers almost like deep wrinkles.
I clean house's and I know the chemicals we use are probbly makeing it worse.I try to use gloves, but sometimes the sweat makes it worse.I don't have a Dr. as they cost money and dont listen anyhow and they just want to throw pills at me.I'm ultra sensitive to alot of pills and always end up sicker then better.
So I have never had this looked at,I was hopeing maybe someone would have an idea as to what it is,or something I can use that is natural and healing to help maybe clear this up or relieve the burning and itching.
I coated my hands in honey last night as my hands are very dry and cracked, but it diddnt do much for them.I posted a few pics to show what it looks like, and thoughts or idea's are welcomed.

Thats interesting that you asked about Candida,I was reading a post about that earlier today. I dont know if I have that or not, never heard of it till today.Gonna research some.
I was on a blood pressure pill for about 7 years that left me a walking zombie with a ton of problems,I quit cold turkey about 10 months ago I guess.Maybe that has something to do with this not going away.

Anyhow thanks,I will be trying the Sulfer ASAP!!!

looking at the pictures i automatically think it could be a fungal infection. It almost looks like what I had on my feet as a kid (athlete's foot). Fungal infections can stick around a loooong time. My BF has one that makes his one fingernail look thick and gross, he's had it since a football hit it 10 years ago!
Of course, that might not be it at all... could just be really chapped. I get a couple tiny hard bumps in between my middle and index finger. 2 are still there after many years. they look like a tiny grain of sand (flesh colored) If you try to pick it open, it hurts like hell! otherwise, just touching it or rubbing there is no pain or redness. there is clear fluid in those too.
Maybe they could even be small warts? I hope you ccan figure it out soon though.. looks like it hurts

Is it only on your hands? First thing that came to my mind was hand, foot, mouth disease. My son had it when he was little. Look it up on google, they have pictures.

It could really be any number of things and you'd be best off with a doctor that would either do allergy tests on you or a biopsy. It could be hypersensitivity to any of the cleaning chemicals you come in contact with, it could be a fungal infection or an allergic reaction to just about anything (since you wear gloves often and sweat in them a regular allergy rash might not get a chance to heal properly and might get infected), it could be lichen ruber planus or herpes zoster or even dermatitis herpetiformis (gluten skin rash). With most of these, the treatment is basically hydrocortisone and patience. Have you tried anti-inflammatory foods?

    Default Thanks!!

Tenuviel-Thanks,my bf told me it looks like athletes foot before,he said he has something simular on his feet,he said he put asorbine Junior on it and it went away. Said it hurts but it worked,So on my last bad flare up I tried it.It stunk so bad and Burned like crazy, turned the patches white and itched so bad,but never went away.My bf has a couple yucky nails too, arnt they sexy? haha ewww Off the subject I saw your fairy page.Awesome sculptures,I love love fairys.

Kjduf -yes its only on my hands,I checked out the pictures and some of the information on the subject, Thank you,it dosn't really look the same to me,H.F.M. disease kinda has larger bumps and is more rash like, and looks like any part of the body is fair game. Man those poor people who suffer from that,God have mercy on them.Looks like it would be painful as well.

Cotton- Thanks,I think your right about the allergy to the chemicals at work, this started before this job.I worked at a Aviary under poor conditions,I often think I picked up something there. Not sure what the list of anti-inflammatory foods are, going to look that up too.But a huge reason I found this path to raw is because I could no longer eat alot of foods,my body has over the years put a stop to alot of things without my consent.

If you're going to try the anti-inflamitory foods, I'd suggest you look into pro-inflammation foods as well. They're the foods that either cause or incense various irriation conditions.
I'm terribly biased in this because I think wheat is the devil because of my own condition, but does anyone in your family have gluten skin rash? My grandmother had it and regularly got rashes in her hands, same with my cousin. It's a hereditary condition and means you might have to cut out all even remotely wheat related items, even beauty products containing wheatgerm. I'm just asking about this because untreated, it does affect seriously in the way your body can absorb nutrients and deal with other food items besides. Lactose intolerance is a very common side effect as well as anemia and other vitamin deficiencies.
But yeah, I'm biased, so don't let me scare you too much.

my grandmother had something simular on her hands. But no one else in the family has it,maybe it did the skip a generation thing and I'm the lucky recipient next in line, thats interesting.I dont know anyone on my fathers side so I cant say if they had any issues.
From what I saw on this page http://www.oprah.com/health/Dr-Perri...ammatory-Foods Eating a high raw diet would be pretty much do the trick?. Ive started the 30day challenge and before now, there are many foods Ive not had in years because I cant handle the side effects.
lol you diddnt scare me Id rather be informed and aware then slammin my head in a wall wondering whats the deal :)
So this being said, with the gluten allergy, are you able to eat any dehydrated chips or breads?
My next course of action is to start using more natural shampoo's and hygine products or make them myself. As it is,I can only use one kind of deoderant or I break out BAD,same with shampoo and body wash, soon as they change an ingredient in something ive been using for years I will break out,and have to search for something else.
http://www.metabolismadvice.com/anti_inflammatory_food/ checking this out for the anti-I.foods,maybe I could try and eat more of this list and see if it would make a diffrence.Thank you......

Oh yeah, it could definitely be something hereditary. Neither my dad or his brothers have coeliac symptoms, but my cousin and I do. I haven't read up on it more extensively, but it does seem like it might be something that's more likely to be passed on to females just like red-green blindness is more prominent with males.
Dehydrated chips and breads are generally made with seeds and those are usually ok on a gluten-free diet, but you know it's an individual thing. Oats inherently don't have gluten in them, but there are still a lot of coeliac sufferers who can't tolerate them. And there's always the bit with seeds and gluten free grains that they might be cross-contaminted from storage or the area where they were grown. But as a general rule seeds are ok.
Hope your hands are feeling better on raw. :)

    Default looks like dyshidrotic eczema

    RawHorizon,

This looks and sounds A LOT like:

    Dyshidrotic eczema

    http://www.medterms.com/script/main/...rticlekey=9635

I have had this as long as I can remember and it was just "diagnosed" at age
42! I have lots of allergies and asthma and was at the allergist and she
noticed it completely by chance. Prior to that, I had not made the connection
that these little bumps that itched SO BADLY always seemed worse when my allergies were heightened. I have even gotten them on my toes during especially bad allergy seasons.

Maybe you could keep a journal of outbreaks and see if you find a connection to any seasonal/environmental or food sensitivites?

I just read your posts again and saw that you mentioned extreme sensitivities to body care products. Also the same for me! After years of fighting to find commercial products I just limit myself mostly to unscented castile soap, coconut oil and baking soda. Those things work great, are inexpensive and cause no bad reactions!

    fungus or some odd excema

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

    Thanks everyone.
They are still bad,the best thing I have found for them this time to ease some of the symptoms is Aveno lotion ,no purfumes and such.I know its still loaded with nasties but its like the lesser of 2 evils.
I am playing around with my foods and seeing what ones are more benificial.I still have not tried the sulfur that is on my to get list.

    Thanks Lisa,
Just wondering are your fair skinned or have real light hair?I know people of all tones have these problems but I think some allergies are more prone to certin skin type, like how sun effects others diffrently as far as skin tone. Also what did your doctor prescribe for your dyshidrotic eczema?

I'd consider washing in Dr. Bonners and using pure shea butter for moisturizing.

    RawHorizons,

The doc prescribed cortisone steroid cream but I never filled the RX so I can't speak to how well it would've worked. I just try to focus on the precipitating allergy factors and if I get bumps, I take lots of salty baths and dab them with coconut oil at bedtime.

    Re: my coloring
I have very dark curly hair and very fair skin tone, but when I tan, I tan REALLY brown.

    Lisa :)
